Dodge is offering a new option to those looking for a drag racer.
The new Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak comes straight from the factory ready to compete in nationally sanctioned drag racing series including the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). It can be had with either a supercharged 354-cubic inch Gen III Hemi or a naturally aspirated 426-cubic inch Gen III Hemi.
Opt for the supercharged engine and you get a cast-iron block, forged steel crankshaft, Mopar camshaft and custom engine calibration. The larger 426 Hemi offers an aluminum block with pressed-in steel liners and aluminum cylinder heads. Both are hooked up to an updated automatic transmission.
The suspension is completely redone on the Drag Pak Challenger while the rear 4-inch sold axle will be bookended by 15-inch wheels fitted with Hoosier drag radials measuring 30-inches in diameter and 9-inches wide. The front tires are 28-inches in diameter and 4.5-inches wide.
Each engine brings with it different graphics for the car. A blue Mopar stripe comes with the superchagred engine, while a horizontal black stripe signifies the naturally aspirated motor. A rear-hinged hood makes it easier to access the engine.
