Volkswagen Jetta leases are available for as low as what you’re paying for a smartphone plan.
The German automaker and some of its U.S. dealerships are offering Jetta leases for as low as $89 a month after a down payment of $2,500 on a $17,325 Jetta.
The three-year lease special is a sign of how Volkswagen is hoping to turn around its business in the U.S. Leases for as low as $39 a month have been reported in San Jose, California while $99 a month has been seen in Boston.
VW is relying on leases to make sure they have repeat customers in 2017, when it expects to show off a much improved lineup that will ideally entice lease returners to get back into another Volkswagen model.
The company is currently working on expanding its lineup of crossovers and SUVs which the brand hopes will help them double sales in the U.S. to 800,000 units annually by 2018.
