2016 GMC Sierra Revealed with New Face

The 2016 GMC Sierra has been revealed, sporting a revised front end.

Following in the footsteps of the 2016 Silverado, the updated Sierra has new LED accent lighting up front along with a revised grille and front fascia. The truck embraces C-shaped lights included in the daytime running lights, LED headlights and LED taillights.

Included in the photos are a 2016 GMC Sierra SLT (white), Sierra All Terrain (red) and a Sierra Denali, showing off the unique front ends that come on each different trim.

Additional details were not announced on the 2016 truck, though it is safe to assume that the Sierra will adopt the same major mechanical change as the 2016 Silverado, which means that the eight-speed automatic transmission will become available with the 5.3-liter V8. The new GMC will also adopt Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Like the updates, especially the LED tail lights- that’s a real safety improvement. Hopefully thet’ve put in adaptive cruise control plus auto emergency braking with the forward warning system. If so, guess I’ll have no excuse but to break down and get a new SLT or Denali.
