The Audi Allroad is following in the footsteps of the Audi A4 with a beefier new design.
The Audi A4 recently entered a new generation and the more rugged wagon variant is next on the list for the German automaker. The Audi Allroad prototype being tested features all the traditional off-road styling cues with more rugged fender flares, side skirts and a higher ride height. Underneath all the camouflage are new front and rear bumpers, similar to what we’ve seen on the new 2016 Audi A4.
Expect the next-generation Audi Allroad to come with Quattro all-wheel drive as standard, while it will share its powerplants with the A4, with the exception of the smaller engines, which will likely not make it into the lineup.
The new Audi A4 and Audi A4 wagon will make their public auto show debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, so expect the new Audi Allroad to bow early next year at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
