One lucky person is going to own the first production Bugatti Veyron.
The 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 sporting chassis number 001 will be heading to the RM Sotheby’s auction taking place in Monterey between August 13-15.
The vehicle has exactly 764 miles on the odometer and was recently shown at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show alongside chassis number 300 and chassis number 450. The first-ever production Bugatti Veyron was fully serviced by Bugatti Beverly Hills last month.

Launched in 2005, the Bugatti Veyron helped bring the French automaker to the forefront of luxury vehicles, setting records during its decade-long run on the market.
Production on the Bugatti Veyron ended earlier this year after the 450th unit was built and rumor has it that its successor will be called the Chiron.
As for the first-ever produced unit, it won’t be one of the numerous special edition Veyrons that the automaker has produced over the last 10 years, but it’ll still feature the amazing 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Unfortunately, as the first Veyron it “only” has 1,001 hp and 922 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 253 mph.
