2017 Ford Super Duty Spy Photos Tip September Debut

A new set of spy photos showing the upcoming redesigned Ford Super Duty also reveal that the truck will be unveiled at the upcoming Texas State Fair.

Ford’s shift to aluminum for the F-150 is supposed to also be present on the upcoming Super Duty, helping the big trucks lose a serious amount of weight. The new F-150’s style will also heavily influence the bigger trucks.

Under the hood, the 6.7-liter diesel is expected to stay, though it may now be hooked up to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The smaller F-150’s new tech features, like an around-view camera, pro trailer backup assist and more will also likely be added to Ford’s more powerful trucks.

The trucks will debut at an event held for the media at the beginning of the fair, sometime around September 25.

This will be interesting. If the smaller F-150 lost up to 700 pounds by switching to aluminum, how much more will the Super Duty trucks lose? I bet it’s more than half a ton.
