2017 Volvo S90 Leaked in Model Car Photos

There’s a very good chance the 2017 Volvo S90 will resemble the above photos of some model cars when it makes it debut.

Our spy photographers have already caught the 2017 Volvo S90 testing last week and now this is allegedly a model of the upcoming Volvo flagship, showing heavy inspiration from the new 2016 Volvo XC90 and the Volvo Estate concept. It also appears that the rear might get a bit stylish with a hatchback similar to what’s found on the Audi A7.

There’s no confirmation that the above models resemble what the 2017 Volvo S90 will look like when it debuts, but it’s very likely considering Volvo is now owned by Chinese manufacturer Geely.

In addition, the model car resembles what has been speculated for the 2017 Volvo S90. The photos were originally posted to a private Volvo Model Cars Facebook page and have since been taken down.

If this turns out to be the flagship Volvo S90, what do you think? Will the luxury automaker have a model that can contend with flagships from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz? Tell us in the comments below.

I don’t think that Volvo will be aiming for 7-series, S-class and A8 with this I think that they will be taking a serious punch at the 5/E/A6 instead. The current S80 doesn’t fully compete with those (no matter how much I like it), and I think it makes more sense to compete in that better-selling segment first. Also, that would leave the S60 to compete with the 5/E/A6 when it is definitely a step below with the 3/C/A4.
