Porsche Boxster Facelift Spied Camo-Free

We now have our best look yet of the upcoming Porsche Boxster facelift.

AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers caught the pre-production model driving near the German automaker’s factory and museum in Stuttgart, sporting some transportation protection material. Essentially camouflage free, the Porsche Boxster facelift shows off a new front bumper design incorporating new air intakes and an LED and Daytime Running Lights two-in-one indicator. Minor changes to the sports car include new door handles and slightly modified air intakes on the rear fenders.

In the rear of the Porsche Boxster is a new bumper along with fresh tail lights, while you can expect numerous changes in the cabin include an updated infotainment system with a larger touchscreen and a new steering wheel.

The facelifted Porsche Boxster will also bring in a new era of turbocharged four-cylinder engines that include a 2.0-liter flat-four engine with 240 hp. The Boxster GTS variant will use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo with 370 hp while the Boxster S will have a detuned version of the engine with 300 hp.

Expect the facelifted Porsche Boxster to make its official debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show or the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
