Aston Martin has revealed the DB9 GT James Bond Edition, a special limited-edition car that celebrates 50 years of the British automaker’s partnership with the spy franchise.
Only 150 units of the Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition will be made, and the new car’s launch is timed to coincide with the newest Bond movie, Spectre, which Daniel Craig, who plays Bond, said will be his final Bond film.
The DB9 GT is the most powerful DB9 ever built, and is powered by a hand-built 6.0L V12 with 540 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. The 2+2 coupe goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 183 mph, perfect for the car chases that will inevitably happen when you’re tracking down international super villains.
The Bond Edition DB9 GT gets subtle styling enhancements that start with a special paint colour called Spectre Silver and badges made of sterling silver. The car will also get “007 Bond Edition” badging inside and out, as well as super badass gun barrel embroidery on the rear seat divider and a special Bond start up screen for the infotainment system.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition can be ordered now and is priced starting at $237,007 (see what they did there?).
We also hope the car comes with lasers, automatic weaponry or ejector seats, but we might just be a little bit too excited for the upcoming movie.
