An army of custom Ford Mustangs will be unleashed in the American automaker’s 2015 SEMA booth.
So far, Ford has previewed a plethora of modified vehicles that will be showcased throughout the 2015 SEMA Show, including the Edge Sport, Explorer Sport, F-150 and now the Mustang. Not surprisingly, the Ford Mustang will have the strongest presence at the show with eight builders putting their own spin on the popular sports car. All eight combine to have more than 4,000 horsepower with Ford claiming that the majority of the Mustangs in the booth will have modified versions of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine.
This year’s builders include Bisimoto bringing a 900-hp four-cylinder Mustang, Motorso unleashing 727 hp from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8, TSI Designs taking a more casual route with a convertible, while MAD Industries churns 725 hp from its droptop. The Ice Nine Group will go a different route with a turbocharged Mustang pushing 475 hp and heavily inspired by DTM Touring cars and the new Shelby GT350R. Then there’s the DRAGG Mustang that may look like a police car, but DRAGG stands for “Drag Racing Against Gangs & Graffiti.”
Another convertible cruiser will come from CGS Performance Products sporting massive 21-inch wheels in the front and even larger 22-inch rollers in the rear. Lastly, Bojix Design will give the Mustang a European grand tourer feel to the EcoBoost pony.
