Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser image for its Vision Tokyo concept, set to debut this week at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
The German automaker didn’t announce many details on the concept, simply saying that it is “Autonomous, luxurious and progressive. A vision for future generations.” By looking at the silhouette, it appears that the Vision Tokyo will be a minivan of sorts, but since it’s boasting autonomous technologies, it will likely build on the F 015 Luxury in Motion concept that debuted earlier this year at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show.

It is likely that the Vision Tokyo concept will be powered by some form of alternative powertrain, whether it’s hybrid, fully electric or even hydrogen fuel cell. The F 015 Luxury in Motion concept is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle with a carbon reinforced hydrogen tank. The concept, however, wasn’t designed to showcase powertrain technology but rather advanced technologies of how the German automaker envisions transportation in the year 2030 and beyond.
