Someone Made an Epic Music Video on Buying a Lemon Jeep Grand Cherokee

You know what they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Meet Teg, an Australian who purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee for $60,000 in October 2013, a vehicle he says has been a lemon since the day he got it. According to Teg, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has had numerous issues and has been towed a number of times, while the dealership and Fiat Chrysler Australia have basically told him to “bugger off.”

So what do you do when you’re stuck with a Jeep Grand Cherokee that’s a lemon and the automaker doesn’t want to help you out? Create a viral music video of course, especially one that’s awesome and has surprisingly high production quality.

Teg says that there are currently two lobbying groups in Australia that are pushing for the introduction of lemon laws to help protect the consumer. In addition, he added that Fiat Chrysler Australia has had so many people complain to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) that in September 2015, it announced sanctions against the automaker.

There were lots of issues with early 2014 Jeep GC. More than FCA will admit. 2015 models have some of these problems remedied.

BTW, his looks like GC Limited and about $45000 MSRP. For $60k it will be 4×4 Summit.

I hope he makes it back from YouTube views:

My 2009 Jeep SRT8 is rock solid, no break downs and I’ve raced it 100’s of times… I herd the WK1 is better than the newer WK2.

    What a funny video. LMAO!

  • Well, it’s the Ferengi Commerce Authority, so…

Oh, yeah. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles isn’t much better.

  • smartacus

hahaha! With the Ferengi at least you know you’re gonna get screwed so it’s not such a shock

  • Grand Problems WK2

Our WK2 is terrible, so many issues bumper to bumper. We haven’t made a cool music video however out of crazy frustration for all the issues, many on-going and absolutely zero help from Chrysler across numerous cases we have started sharing our issues as well. Still many more to post…

My neighbor had a white Ford van that was a lemon right from the factory. Ford refused to honor its warranty! Unfortunately for Ford, the guy was a sign designer. So for the next few years…he drove a Ford van that had giant “This is a lemon” decals on the sides, the hood, and the top.

    I own a 2001 Wrangler, been towed 4 times this year…but I still love it…maybe I should see a doctor.
