Mercedes-Benz is making its S-Class Coupe more affordable, just not in North America.
Boasting 367 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, the Mercedes S400 4MATIC Coupe is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine. As the sixth model in the lineup, the S400 Coupe joins the S500, S500 4MATIC and three AMG models: S63, S63 4MATIC and S65. The powerplant is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and will come with 4MATIC as standard. According to the German automaker, the S400 Coupe goes 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.
Although it’s unclear whether the S400 Coupe will make its way to North America, pricing will start at 99,960 euros, which is about $110,000.
Despite being an entry-level model, the S400 Coupe still leaves the factory with a plethora of standard features including Thermotronic automatic climate control with two climate zones, LED Intelligent Light System with variable light distribution for country roads and motorways, active light function, cornering light function, enhanced fog light function and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, COMAND Online multimedia system, Airmatic, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, Collision Prevention Assist Plus and Pre-Safe.
