So the 2016 Toyota Tacoma delivers serious performance off-road, but how does it fare on the street?

We put that question to five current Tacoma owners and then sat them in front of a camera to see what they really thought.

Part of a joint project between CustomTacos.com and AutoGuide, we arranged for seat-time in a new Limited model Taco with a Yamaha Raptor ATV in the bed. See what these real owners had to say in Part 3 of our Talking Tacos series above.

I have an early SR5 3.0L 4×4 and looking to replace it soon but this new engine concerns me. This may be my last automobile purchase since I only drive about 2000 miles a year I prefer my motorcycle but really do most of my commuting by bicycle. I just see this engine as possibly being an expensive nightmare out of warranty. I swore I would never by a vehicle with a timing belt the maintenance cost are just to high. Guess i could wait and see but the Colorado looks like a better truck on paper but their again it’s new but the engine is proven in the Camaro and different models. I still have until spring/summer to make my decision but I’m torn between the two trucks. Maybe I should just buy one of the 4.0L that may be traded in since that motor has a timing chain no belt and buy a new Ducati instead.
