The McLaren 675LT Spider has sold all 500 units a mere two weeks after its unveiling.
The convertible variant of the 675LT coupe that was revealed earlier this year at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 675LT Spider is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine sporting 666 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. And despite sporting a three-piece retractable folding hardtop, the 675LT Spider has a dry weight of 2,800 pounds and is only 88 lbs heavier than the coupe.
It all adds up to give you an exotic convertible that goes zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds while having a top speed of 203 mph. The company has even quoted that it returns an 18 mpg combined rating.
When the McLaren 675LT Spider was announced earlier this month, the British automaker also revealed that it would be priced from $372,600 in the U.S. Clearly, that price tag hasn’t scared away exotic car shoppers, considering the coupe version took two months to sell out.
First deliveries of the 675LT Spider will begin in summer 2016.
