Daily Diecast: A Lamborghini Veneno You Can Actually Afford

Welcome to AutoGuide.com’s very first Daily Diecast! Every day this week, we’ll be showcasing an extra special diecast model car from the web and showing you exactly why it’s awesome.

Today’s Daily Diecast features a stunning silver Lamborghini Veneno that real people can actually afford. If you love the striking, bold design of the luxury roadster, this model car is a good way to satiate your appetite without paying the multi-million-dollar price tag. Plus, with this being a remote-control model car, it can definitely be taken off the shelf for some adult playtime … and by that, we mean by chasing around the neighbour’s cat.

“Veneno” is the Spanish word for “poison,” and that’s exactly what this fun little car does: it injects adrenaline into the veins of the operator once you see it zipping around at around 20 mph, poisoning all past thoughts of lazying around on the couch (you can thank us later).

Rather than using a traditional square-shaped RC-car controller, this one uses a sensitive joystick, which may be a new experience for those who are used to the more traditional controllers. Buyers have the option of setting the joystick on the ground or atop their hand, or they can also place it in “air gesture” mode, where simply moving it through the air in the preferred direction will make the diecast drive.

The Veneno is 1/14 to scale and is incredibly detailed both inside and out. From its LED lights to the famous Lamborghini scissor doors, this is as close to the real thing as it gets for approximately $70.
