Rolls-Royce is going to do something it has never done before: build a concept car.
As a part of parent company BMW’s centenary celebrations, both Rolls-Royce and MINI will be revealing concept cars this year, meant to foreshadow what is coming from each brand over the next 100 years. In total, four concepts will be built for the celebration, the first of which, the BMW Vision Next 100 Concept, has already been revealed. The final concept will be a BMW motorcycle.
The Rolls concept will be known as the Rolls-Royce Grand Sanctuary and will explore what the luxury interior of the future looks like. Though the name is unclear for the MINI concept, the tagline for the car is “Every MINI is a MINI,” and apparently it will showcase the customization options we can expect over the next century.
BMW has confirmed that the concepts will debut in England between June 16 and 26, which leaves the door open for a possible debut at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
