The Rezvani Beast is getting a roof.
The American automaker is teasing the Rezvani Beast Targa with the above image, calling it the “ultimate lightweight sports car.” Deliveries for the Rezvani Beast Targa will begin this summer and Rezvani is taking reservations with a $1,000 refundable deposit.
Although details on the Targa variant haven’t been released, expect it to be similar to the standard Rezvani Beast that is powered by a 2.4-liter Rotrex supercharged Honda engine with 500 horsepower and 427 pound-feet of torque. In convertible form, the Rezvani Beast goes zero to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox with an automatic available as an option.
The Beast is built on a carbon steel chassis from the Ariel Atom 3, helping it tip the scales at 1,650 pounds. It’s currently unclear if the Rezvani Beast Targa will weigh more or less than the standard Beast, but it’s probably a safe bet that it will retain an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
Rezvani also offers the Beast X, built on the same platform but boasting a twin-turbo 2.4-liter Honda engine sporting over 700 hp. The Rezvani Beast X hits 60 mph from a standstill in 2.5 seconds while weighing 1,850 lbs.
