Tuning company Mountune has been amping up the Ford’s ST models for some time, and now the company has released its first set of upgrades for the new Focus RS.
No engine upgrades have been announced yet, though Mountune says that “the power and torque improvements are very noticeable” from the kit that will be released. These details will come to light once the enhanced engine gets the extended durability sign-off.
Focus RS owners will have to wait for more power, but Mountune now has plenty of Focus RS upgrades available, including a new set of OZ Racing Leggera HTL wheels offering 0.5-inches of extra width while saving 3.7 lbs at each corner. New silicone boost hoses can be had for the turbocharger, a high-flow air filter is available to help the 2.3-liter turbo four breathe, a new rear engine mount can be installed to reduce engine movement and a short-throw shifter is also available with 25 percent shorter throws.
A Quaife limited-slip front differential worth $1,099 is also part of Mountune’s new Focus RS package, an upgrade that was already available on the Focus ST.
