New renderings of the 2017 Acura RLX by Acura Connected show us what the car would look like with the brand’s new diamond pentagon grille.

The rendering imagines a more exciting design for the RLX, which competes in the mid-sized premium sedan segment with established models such as the BMW 5-series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6. Tough competition, as those German brands have created some iconic models in their time.

The standout feature is that diamond pentagon grille which gives the RLX a brand new face along with the integrated headlights which follows the new design paradigm of Acura as seen in the 2017 CDX and MDX SUV models. Oversized air inlets are also provided here for that sport sedan look and the design lines are a little starker than on the current RLX to give the car a meaner and tougher look.

The headline "Check Out these Fan Renderings of a Future Acura RLX" is dishonest. It's just one rendering and it's not from a fan. It's not an accurate rendering, either, as Acura has described the future RLX has having no B pillar unlike this modified 2016 model shown here. I'm very interested in the future RLX so when you have an article that actually matches your headline, please let me know.
