Not it’s not a Nissan. Mercedes-Benz has teased its upcoming AMG GT R model.
Mercedes-Benz has released four teaser images of the forthcoming AMG GT R model which will debut at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed which takes place June 23 to 26.
No further details were provided, of course, but we expect the Mercedes-AMG GT-R to be fitted with a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 with an output of around 550 to 570 horsepower and a torque reading of about 516 lb-ft (700 Nm). That would place the model in competition with the likes of the McLaren’s 675LT and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
It will also be light, with AMG aiming to bring the car in at under 1,600 kg with extensive use of carbon-fiber composite materials.
From the teaser images we can also see that the model will come with a racer-inspired body kit that will include that large, rear wing in carbon black.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R will go on sale sometime in 2017.
