One of the premier automotive events around the world begins today: the Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS).
Taking place annually in England, the FOS celebrates everything to do with cars. Besides having plenty of rare and exotic metal on display, drivers also flock to Goodwood to race up the famous hill.
At the 2016 FOS, a BMW i8 was the first car to run the hill, but plenty more incredible machines are set to do the same, including a new Ford Raptor, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and even an incredibly rare Voisin C1 Competition model, built in 1921.
There is also a Bonhams auction that takes place during FOS with some high-price, rare cars finding new homes.
This year’s featured marque is BMW, which means that the Bavarian brand was responsible for the decorating the annual sculpture that is changed and resurrected each year to celebrate a new automaker. For 2016, the sculpture is bigger than ever before and features three different classic BMWs.
Whether you’re a fan of new cars or classics, Goodwood has you covered.
