Koenigsegg has revealed the Agera RSR, only three of which will be built specially for customers in Japan.
These three cars are part of a 25-car run planned for the Agera RS, which is a top-tier hypercar that makes 1,160 hp at 7,800 RPM from its twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8. While the three cars remain the same mechanically, special design, trim and aerodynamics have been added to make them unique.
Two of the RSR models have been revealed, chassis #122 which is finished in turquoise blue and chassis #123 finished in black. The last RSR model to be built, chassis #124, will be white.
All of the custom colors and interior designs come from “unprecedented” input from each one of the customers. The RSR models are the first of the Agera RS series to add a top-mounted spoiler similar to the unit used on the One:1. This helps to push the car into the road while also retaining the Agera RS’ spoiler design.
An air intake scoop similar to the One:1 is also used on this car, though it has a shortened design to allow for the roof panel to be stored inside the car.
“Japan has been an important market for Koenigsegg since the earliest days of the company,” said company CEO Christian von Koenigsegg. “It brought us great pleasure to work with our Japanese clients to bring the Agera RSR to life. The cars they have designed add a new dimension to the already exclusive Agera RS series.”
All of three of these models will arrive in Japan in the near future.
