Ford has previewed the next set of customized cars heading to the 2016 SEMA Show.
The American automaker has already introduced a selection of F-150 pickup trucks heading to Las Vegas, and now there’s a collection of Mustangs and a pair of Fusion Sport sedans joining the convoy. Builders this year include VMP Performance, Stitchcraft, Speedkore Performance Group, MRT, CJ Pony Parts, Webasto Thermo and Comfort North America as well as Legacy Innovations. The American automaker will also showcase a recreation of the iconic 1966 Shelby GT350 by Revology Cars.
Kicking it off for the Mustangs is the VMP Performance 2017 Ford Mustang GT fastback, featuring a 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been supercharged to deliver 851 horsepower and 703 pound-feet of torque. Then there’s the 2017 Ford Mustang convertible from Stitchcraft, sporting a Pearl Candy Orange paint finish. The folks at Speedkore Performance Group will be building a 2017 Ford Mustang GT packed with a Whipple Stage2 supercharger, Eibach suspension and HRE P1 wheels.
Then there’s the MRT Ford Mustang EcoBoost that packs even more performance thanks to a Vortech supercharger, BC Racing coilover suspension and 20-inch HB Engineering wheels. Lastly, there’s another EcoBoost Mustang by CJ Pony Parts, featuring a beautiful Stealth Gray paint with Acid Green accents and Niche 20-inch wheels.
The first of the two Ford Fusion Sports is by Webasto Thermo and Comfort North America, powered by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Helping bring the midsize sedan to a new level of performance and luxury are Webasto Thermo Top Evo engine preheater and comfort control, JMS BoostMAX boost controller, PedalMAX throttle, SCT Performance engine calibration and a MRT Performance axle-back exhaust system. H&R Performance handles the suspension on this particular Ford Fusion Sport, while Modulare Forged 20-inch wheels are paired to Toyo Proxes T1 tires on all four corners.
The final Ford Fusion Sport heading to the 2016 SEMA Show is by Legacy Innovations and also features a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine under the hood. A MagnaFlow exhaust and K&N cold air intake kit give it more performance while BC coilover suspension and Baer brakes give the sedan a more menacing stance. On all four corners are 20-inch Forgestar F14 wheels wrapped by Toyo Proxes T1Sport rubber.
