While Downtown Detroit doesn’t exactly look like Hazzard County, it does look like the Duke boys are back to their old antics. Well, at least the General Lee is.
As part of the 65th annual Autorama show, stunt driver Raymond Kohn took a specially prepared Dodge Charger, finished in General Lee guise of course, and performed a serious jump in front of big crowds.
The 1969 Dodge Charger hits the five-foot ramp at 55 mph, pushing it up to a height of 25 feet and a covering a distance of 134 feet. You can watch the jump, and less than soft landing, above, while below is a video of Kohn talking about the jump, right after it is finished.
