Do cars and fashion collections mix? Some people certainly think so, but a Chevrolet Malibu?

Back in August, news arrived of fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi’s new collection inspired by the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu midsize sedan. And if you couldn’t wait to get your hands on Malibu Collection, it will be on sale starting on October 16 at noon.

Mizrahi’s Malibu Collection will be for sale exclusively on LivingSocial’s Shop in limited quantities. As for the pieces, says Mizrahi: “The 2013 Malibu is a beautifully designed car. Each piece of my capsule collection was inspired by the features of the car, from the leather seats that feel like they are hugging you, to the ice-blue interior lighting.”

Not only did he take fashion cues from the Malibu, Mizrahi also took style inspiration from everyday women across the country. A few of the pieces in the collection include:

• Malibu Driving Moccasin ($110): Made in Napa leather, with a quilted, cushioned insole. The color was inspired by the Malibu’s Crystal Red Tintcoat color.
• Malibu Colored Skinny Jean ($73): Coated, poppy red color with a touch of stretch to conform to any body type.
• Malibu Oversized Boyfriend Watch ($110): The watch’s blue face is inspired by the Malibu’s interior light, and it’s complemented by silvertone detailing.

Knitting is the new “it” DIY hobby and MINI is hoping to cash in on the trend.

Perhaps Pagani is just taking a page out of Koenigsegg‘s book; the Swedish exotic automaker recently announced its accessory line with products varying from teddy bears and keychains to clothing. Nonetheless, details are bleak but clearly this man bag has been heavily influenced by the automaker’s exotic models. From the carbon fiber to the aluminum details, it’s undoubtedly the ultimate accessory for a Pagani owner… if you’re into carrying this sort of stuff around.

Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi has a different kind of muse for his latest collection. He took his inspiration from the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.

“I don’t design cars, but I do know great design when I see it,” said Mizrahi. “And that’s how my newest collection was born.”

Bright, vibrant colors are in this season, and Porsche is all about being trendy – even if it means borrowing style cues from the past.

Porsche Design is releasing new fashion and accessories collections that are inspired by the past. For the Colours of 1968 collection from Driver’s Selection, Porsche Design pays homage to the colour spectrum of 911 in the late ‘60s: Tangerine, Polo Red, Irish Green and Ossi Blue. Retro fun for the whole family, this collection includes items such as a stylish messenger bag (£85), T-shirts for men, women and children (£25-£39) and glass coasters (£40).

Also taking you back in time are new products in the Martini collection, which reflect back to when the 917 Porsche raced to victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Sporting the iconic blue and red of sponsors Martini Racing, the Driver’s Selection by Porsche Design has refreshed its popular Martini collection to include new items celebrating this historic collaboration. Sporting light blue, dark blue and red stripes, the collection includes clothing items, accessories and sports equipment. Just a few that are featured are Martini Racing Sportsline Jackets for men and women (£175-£190), Aviator Sunglasses (£150) and Polo Shirts (£55).

Buckling your seat belt can help keep you safe… but they can also help keep you stylish.

Canadian company U.S.E.D. (Unlimited Supplies from Everyone’s Discards) takes old seatbelts from junkyard clunkers and gives them new life as hand bags, shoulder bags, backpacks, courier bags, totes and other accessories. The goal of the company is to “repurpose industrial waste and educate the public by creating, functional, fabulous, fun environmentally beneficial products.”

You can buy these bags at various retail locations or order one custom made – however, you’re not guaranteed specific colors, but they will do their best to come as close as possible to your color choices. You can order one or check out the line at U.S.E.D.’s website.

Do you know what perfectly complements an Aston Martin? Exquisite diamond jewelery that’s inspired by the luxury automobile.

Sure, diamonds are a girl’s best BFF, but a luxury car is always considered a close, personal friend. That’s why Aston Martin teamed up with Australian designer John Calleijato create an exclusive jewelry line that celebrates the automaker’s legacy – more specifically, the famed Aston Martin One-77, a car so popular that ever since its 2010 introduction, every single one has been sold.

The idea of a wearable art form was envisioned when Aston’s chief exec Ulrich Bez approached Calleija, and this exclusive jewelry line was born. The Calleija for Aston Martin Collection took six years to conceive and boasts 77 pieces of jewelry with 30 designs. Modeled after the One-77’s front grille, these pieces use the Astar cut for gemstones, just one of innovations that make this collection spectacular.

No word on how much this jewellery will set you back, but we’re guessing since the design took its inspiration from the Aston Martin One-77, the cost will also be a reflection of the supercar’s price tag.

Two premier British brands have teamed up to create the ultimate lightweight driver’s shoe called Winner Sport. British luxury automaker Aston Martin gave a helping hand to the shoemakers at John Lobb to create a sleek, aerodynamic shoe featuring finely-tuned details that both brands are infamous for.

The Winner Sport was co-designed by Aston Martin Director of Design Marek Reichman and John Lobb’s Creative Director Andrés Hernández. It’s constructed from full-grain calfskin and lined with supple sheepskin. Adding support at the ankle is soft padding while the metallic eyelets, punched with a wheel of fine holes, reflect Aston Martin’s design cues. And unlike typical John Lobb shoes, the Winner Sport features a specially-engineered bonded rubber sole.

Plenty of color options will be available to those interested in picking up a pair or two and will be on sale at John Lobb and Aston Martin stores worldwide starting in May 2012.

Not only does it feel good to recycle, it looks good too, thanks to the launch of MINI‘s Carmina Campus bags.

Part of the capsule collection, the Carmina Campus bags are made from colour samples, material offcuts and other leftovers from the production of the new MINI Roadster. Designed by Ilaria Venturini Fendi (the daughter of Anna Fendi), this bags are the epitome of up-cycling, as the Carmina Campus label only contains re-used or recycled materials.

This line of limited edition travel and city bags for men and women features 50 bags that employee a diverse range of materials that were used to make the MINI Roadster. Styles range from practical business bags and functional laptop cases to trendy totes, using recycled MINI items like interior handles, seatbelts and high-grade leather offcuts. To prove authenticity, each bag in the collection is embroidered with the numbers 1 through 50.

“The MINI Roadster inspired me with many materials, like the canvas from the convertible roofs rejected after tests or the small metal plates obtained from scraps of the car body,” Ilaria Venturini Fendi said.

The bags range in price from €350 to €700 (USD$400 to $933) and can be purchased through 10 Corso Como’s online shop.
