While the numerous custom Camaros and wild modified Corvettes might be stealing the spotlight over at Chevy‘s SEMA booth, let’s not forget about the working man’s Silverado HD.

For 2011 Chevy revamped the trucks with an all new frame and a new Duramax engine. Now the team at Chevrolet is looking to offer even more to Silverado HD customers with a long list of accessories. On display at SEMA is a Silverado 2500 HD Z71 with a Switchblade Silver paint job and custom Z71 graphics. It’s also got custom Corvette Competition Gray-painted 20-inch wheels, as well as a body color grille, tonneau cover, a hitch-mounted winch, and side steps in a matching Corvette Gray. Inside, the truck gets two DVD players mounted int he headrests, and the truck is equipped with wi-fi.

Parked next to the 2500 is an even more massive 3500 model, equipped to pull a race car – which should be a joke for the big Chevy truck with its tow rating maxing out at 21,700 lbs. It gets custom racing graphics, 17-inch wheels, chrome hood louvers, a custom grille insert, chrome fuel door and trailering mirrors.

Camaro-Synergy2011-35772.jp.jpg

With the launch of the Cyber Gray show car at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, Chevy also confirmed that it will roll out a new special edition “Synergy” model each year. Called the Synergy Series, the limited edition models are the result of the success of the Synergy Green Camaro which debuted at last year’s SEMA Show.

For 2011 the Synergy Series model won’t be available in just one color, but a choice of four: Cyber Gray, Victory Red, Summit White and Black. Chevy will also offer the car in 2SS trim, 2LT V6 trim with the RS package.

On display at the world’s largest aftermarket expo in Las Vegas, the Cyber Gray show car hints at what equipment the production model will get with a Chevy Accessory grille and ground effects package and 21-inch wheels. Interior upgrades include custom gray seats with red stitching throughout the cabin, special floor mats and Silver Ice trim kit, as well as a red instrument cluster. Plus, there’s a lowered suspension, a red engine cover, Hurst shifter and red Brembo brake calipers (SS only).

Chevy is expected to announce the official 2011 Synergy Series soon, possibly as early as the LA Auto Show in just a few weeks time.

2010Camaro-RedFlash36079.jp.jpg

One of several Camaros on display at the Chevy booth at SEMA, the Red Flash Camaro Show car is “the opposite of a sleeper.” Taking the already impressive lines of the fifth-gen Camaro to a new level, the best part about the Red Flash Camaro is that almost all of the accessories attached to the car can be ordered from the Chevrolet Accessory parts catalog.

Available parts include the aggressive aero kit as well as the large rear spoiler. Items like the Heritage hood stripes are already available, while those stunning 21-inch wheels can also be ordered. Chevy hasn’t yet said if the Red Jewel paint will be offered, but we have to think it will.

Inside, the Camaro gets Chevy Accessory pedals and floor mats, while custom touches include red LED lighting and special seats with red stitching. Also inside is a new flat-bottom steering wheel that Chevy says is a “prototype” for a future product. It’s also hard to miss the Hurst shifter.

Under the hood, the big 6.2L V8 gets a Chevy Accessory air intake and exhaust system, as well as a painted engine cover.

We can’t wait to see Camaros like this rolling the streets and await confirmation from Chevy on the Red Jewel paint.

For Audi‘s first ever appearance at SEMA they couldn’t have picked a more impressive car. Knowing full-well that this is an aftermarket show, they decided to avoid over-the-top aero kits in favor of some serious performance courtesy Stasis Engineering.

The boys at Stasis certainly had their work cut out for them, however, when tasked to build an even more potent version of the V10-powered R8 Spyder. But they did just that, strapping a supercharger to the 5.2-liter engine and upping the drop-top’s output to 710-hp – an increase of 185-hp.

Stasis isn’t just about big horsepower numbers however and so true to their mandate, the Stasis team reworked all performance areas of the car, adding lighter 20-inch forged wheels and even manufacturing a new exhaust system that weighs 30-lbs less than the stock unit. As for those wheels, they’re part of the Stasis Signature Series line and weigh 27 percent less than the factory rollers.

Other performance aspects that Stasis has improved upon include braking with lightweight 2-piece 390-mm rotors up front and 355 rotors in the rear, while stiffer springs and new anti-rolls bars lower the ride height and improve handling, while retaining the factory smooth ride quality.

What might be the most important aspect, especially for owners of high-priced German exotics, is that Stasis covers its parts with a 4-year/50,000 mile warranty.

Ford crammed literally dozens of cars and trucks into its booth at the SEMA Show this year, but of the group there was one definitive showstopper. During the press conference, only one car remained under wraps and that was the Team Need for Speed 1969 Ford Mustang RTR-X, built with input by Ford driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. and set to appear virtually in an upcoming Need for Speed game.

Based on the 1969 Dynacorn body Mustang (a recreation of the original fastback model using Ford tooling), the chassis is custom built, as is the suspension setup, to allow for an extra low ride height as well as some serious (50 to 60 degree) steering angle. After all, this is no trailer Queen. No, Gittin intends to drift the car like he would any other.

Under the hood is a new 5.0-liter V8 engine from the 2011 Mustang GT, pumped up to 440-hp at close to 8000 rpm. And who can miss the Kinsler individual throttle bodies?

Outside there’s plenty of custom bodywork including the massive fender flares. According to Gittin, he and his team took inspiration not just from race cars and classic American muscle, but also from old Japanese sports cars (we spy a little Datsun in the design). And speaking of old school Japanese cars, the RTR-X gets a set of Work Meister rims (designed after Gittin’s own drift car) wrapped in Falken RT615-K tires.

Other modern highlights for the RTR-X include an updated interior with digital gauges, as well as plenty of carbon fiber and Alcantara.

We can’t wait to see what this beauty is capable of.

Lamborghini (6).jpg

Amidst all the OEM built and sponsored vehicles at SEMA are a few privately owned gems, commissioned by their owners from some of the top aftermarket shops in the country. We stumbled across one such creation at the Mobil 1 booth.

As though the Lamborghini LP670-4 SuperVeloce wasn’t potent enough, one speed freak decided to ship his car to Underground Racing, where the experts in turbocharging high-horsepower engines really took this Lambo to an all new level. Thanks to twin-turbochargers, the 6.5-liter V12 engine gets a bump from 670-hp to more than double at 1,400-hp. The entire engine was rebuilt from top-to-bottom, custom twin-disk carbon clutch is used to stand up to all that horsepower and a Motec ECU handles the fuel and spark.

Little else was done to the car (what else needs to be) with a nice set of HRE 798R wheels adding a little extra style to the wildest of Lambos.

We’re excited to see the first videos of this car blasting down the quarter mile or even demolishing the stock car’s 212-mph top speed.

With Ford‘s new Focus the first official global platform by the Blue Oval, it only makes sense that they’d strive to raise the car’s awareness on a global level by building a uniform touring car to compete around the world.

And that’s just what Ford is doing, announcing today at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas that it will unveil the next-generation Global Focus Touring Car at the LA Auto Show in just a few weeks time.

After its debut, the Focus Touring Car will first compete in the 2011 British Touring Car Championship and Ford has hinted it will compete at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring as well.

According to Jost Capito, director of Global Performance Vehicles and Motorsports Business Development at Ford, the Blue Oval will work with individual teams to ensure the car meets international regulations, meaning we’re likely to see some cars competing in the Grand Am and World Challenge series in the near future.

While full specs won’t be unveiled until the LA Show, Ford has said the Focus Touring Car will be powered by the same EcoBoost engine found under the hood of the new hot-hatch Focus ST model.

Prius_C_and_A_Custom-1.jpg

It may look a little a lot over the top, but beneath all that wild bodywork the C&A Custom Concept Toyota Prius is actually pretty cool. That may be hard to believe, but what if we told you almost the entire body of the car (excluding the doors) was crafted of light weight carbon fiber. The benefits are twofold, reducing the car’s weight significantly for improved acceleration (and braking, and handling), while also helping improve fuel economy further.

While the custom bodywork with extra-custom additions like a “translucent rear side spoiler, styled exhaust tip and front and rear lighted Toyota badging” might get the most attention, we should point out the attention paid towards making this car handle. To do so, it features 18-inch forged aluminum wheels with aluminum aero rings, while a TIEN suspension drops the car 4-inches up front and 6-inches in the rear.

Interior modifications include a black Alcantara headliner, A and B pillars, door trim and rear seat, while the steering wheel and shift knob are also coated in the grippy fabric. Several high-tech displays measure everything from electric output to a G meter.

As far-out as this concept is, we have to think carbon fiber will increasingly play a role in high-mileage vehicles like the Prius in the future.

To help show the versatility of the new 2011 Sportage, Kia has unveiled two “dueling” versions of the crossover at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Sporting plenty of aftermarket accessories (this is SEMA after all), a matte-red “Play” Sportage looks to the more adventurous side of the crossover and its owners, while the matallic blue “Work” Sportage highlights the urban side.

The “Play” Sportage includes 20-inch MRR HR4 wheels and a Yakima roof rack (plus the Cannondale QuikFX Bike). Inside, an iPod Touch is built into the center console, while the cargo area has been built to deliver the full tailgating experience with a motorized BBQ grille and 22-inch LCD screen.

As for the “Work” Sportage, it does away with tailgating for a dressing station, that includes space for two suits, five shirts and five belts. It even has a built-in work station. As Barney Stinson (aka Neil Patrick Harris) would say: Legen, wait for it… dary.

At the SEMA Show it’s no surprise to see high horsepower street and race cars. It’s far less common to see a modified hybrid. And while there are a few tuned Priuses and CR-Zs, over at the Kia booth is the world’s first Forte Hybrid. This is not a conventional tuner car, but a one off concept built by Kia’s motorsports partner Kinetic Motorsports.

The team at Kinetic sourced the parts from Hyundai’s Elantra hybrid (currently on sale in South Korea) and applied the drivetrain to the mechanically-similar Forte. The car uses a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that runs on propane (or liquefied petroleum gas) and a lithium polymer battery pack.

Kia hasn’t announced any fuel economy numbers, but the Hyundai version gets 42-mpg.

And because this is SEMA, the modifications don’t stop there. The Forte also gets some new alloy wheels, low rolling resistance tires and some custom bodywork.

Sienna_Swagger_Wagon.jpg

Looking like a luxurious RV inside and a pimp Vegas stretched limo outside, Toyota couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue than the annual SEMA Show to unveil its Sienna Swagger Wagon Supreme.

The stretched Sienna takes Toyota’s new ‘Swagger Wagon’ to the extreme, after their viral music video of the stock van garnered over 7 million views on YouTube.

Keeping true to the van’s motto “always for kids, now for parents too” the van has been stretched by four feet and includes a custom acrylic roof to bring plenty of natural sunlight into the cabin. Toyota insists it’s daily drivable thanks to an air suspension that allows anywhere from 2.5-inches to 6.5-inches of ground clearance. Outside, it rolls on 20-inch KMC wheels and includes some very custom bodywork with shaved door handles, a custom rear spoiler and some chrome exhaust tips. Plus, it’s been coated in a beautiful Blue Swagger Opal paint.

Inside the spacious cabin gets swiveling captain’s chairs, a massaging chair and a hideaway table. Plus the interior can be transformed from classy to kid-friendly thanks to seat cushions that are leather-coated on one side, with bright colors on the other. But that’s not all, the Swagger Wagon Supreme also gets cherry veneer cabinets, with a glass-front fridge, and a countertop section. And to make the space more livable, the floor was lowered to allow for easy walk-in. And that floor – coated in Brazilian cherry hardwood.

Let’s not forget the entertainment system either (what minivan would be complete without one). The Sienna gets a 23-inch HP TouchSmart computer, Xbox 360 and a wild JBL audio system with 1,700 watts of power.

Toyota has announced that along with the SEMA Show, it will bring the new Swagger Wagon Supreme to the LA, Detroit and Chicago auto shows.

Reconfirming its commitment to its motorsports program and showing just how much their street cars can benefit from track competition, Kia unveiled the Forte Koup Type R Concept at the 2010 SEMA Show today.

Painted in a menacing matte-black, the Type R Concept gets its inspiration from the Forte Koup race cars that competed in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge last year.

Built by Kinetic Motorsports, which also builds Kia’s race cars, the Type R gets a widebody stance with a revised front fascia, big 18-inch BBS RG 18-inch forged aluminum wheels and modified suspension components. Inside the racing theme is continued with custom seats, carbon fiber inlays and a short throw shifter.

With plenty of other blinged out rides at the 2010 SEMA Show, Toyota‘s Yaris GT-S Club Racer is a refreshing change of pace. There’s no big stereo system in the trunk, and it doesn’t make 500-hp. Instead, it’s a purpose built track car that’s not only ready to do battle in SCCA competition, but has already done so.

Built by SportsCar Magazine the little Yaris was piloted by associate editor Jason Isley to win the Southern Pacific H Production Division Championship, eventually finishing 8th at the annual runoffs.

Sporting a significantly modified Toyota 1.5-liter 4-cylinder, the Yaris makes 145-hp thanks to bolt-ons like a DC Sports header, K&N intake and some interior engine work. A Scion xB final drive also assists in acceleration, while a Kaaz LSD keep ensured maximum traction. A completely stripped-out shell drops weight by 400 lbs, while outside the custom bodywork gets some retro-inspired livery while keeping the car glued to the ground are a set of tiny 13×7-inch Jongbloed Racing wheels.

What would you get if you took a Corvette Grand Sport, added Z06 wheels, and opened up the Genuine Corvette Accessories catalog and ordered up everything available with the Corvette Racing “Jake” logo? Well, you’d get the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Jake Edition Concept debuting this week at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Although a few of the bits aren’t actually available at the moment, GM promises they all will be in the not-too-distant future. So basically you could have your own Jake today, or a pretty close facsimile at least. To your basic black Grand Sport Coupe you add Competition Gray Z06 wheels, the matte Jake hood graphic from the GT1 commemorative model, a full-width Carbon Gray rear spoiler, ebony leather with titanium stitching and red accents on the seats, the interior trim kit and racing pedal kit.

The stuff you can’t get – yet – are the Jake fender badges, floor mats, console lid, wheel center caps, underhood blanket and the windshield graphic. But keep checking the Genuine Corvette Accessories catalog for updates. It’ll be worth the wait.

Technically the SEMA Show doesn’t start until tomorrow but thanks to our spies inside we have these snap shots of just what potential Honda‘s new CR-Z has. The Honda Performance Development CR-Z Racer looks like a true racing machine and likely is with a fully stripped-down body, a lowered suspension, functional aero and some big 17-inch wheels with meaty racing slicks.

But the truly exciting mods are found under the hood, where Honda strapped a Borg Warner turbo to the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder to pump out 175-hp and 155 ft-lbs of torque. But that’s not all, Honda also rejigged the Integrated Motor Assist hybrid setup to produce added power that’s available with a Indy Car styled push-to-pass button. When pressed, the CR-Z makes a total of 200-hp and 175 ft-lbs of torque.

Other mods include an LSD and some big brake upgrades.

Hopefully Honda is serious about taking this car racing and we’ll be at the press conference tomorrow to find out.

Tomorrow will mark the start of the world’s largest aftermarket expo and with a revitalized auto industry and significant participation by the automakers at the 2010 SEMA Show, we thought an overview what to expect by the OEMs was in order.

FORD: Aiming to have the largest presence at the SEMA Show by far, the Blue Oval has already outlined 30 custom vehicles in several different groups. Not surprisingly Ford will display eight different Fiesta models, including an EcoBoost hatch making 350-hp. Of course, the revised 2011 Mustang will play a tremendous presence as well, with nine highly modified versions on display, including convertibles, 5.o-liter GT models and even a turbocharged V6. And let’s not forget the truck segment, with seven F-Series models set to debut, including several Super Duty trucks with themes ranging from off-road to street-rodder. And as usual, Ford will also show off several one-off creations, including special versions of its new 2011 Explorer, as well as one classy looking Lincoln MKX.

TOYOTA: Attempting to appeal to all aspects of its fan base, Toyota will display models ranging from it’s eco-friendly Yaris and Prius, to its mundane mid-size sedan Camry and Sienna, as well as its truck offerings like the Tacoma and 4Runner. The vehicles will be anything but tame, however, with Toyota already announcing full details on the 680-hp NASCAR-themed Camry and 505-hp Tacoma, sporting a supercharged version of the Tundra’s 5.7-liter V8. Plus, the Sienna will take “Swagger Wagon” theme to a whole new level, while the Yaris will be dressed up like a touring car racer.

HONDA: It wouldn’t be a SEMA Show without a bunch of hotted-up Hondas, and so we’re glad to see the Japanese automaker will once again be making a big splash at SEMA. This time, however, it will be different, with a long-list of CR-Z hybrids set to steal the show with designs that cater to a wide range of audiences.

SCION: Competing in the same youth-market as Honda at SEMA, is Scion. Toyota’s sub-brand will look to make a big impact with plenty of over-the-top creations, while they’ll also have on display numerous versions of the second-generation 2011 tC. Included in the list of tricked-out tCs are some very incredible creations ranging from a 350-hp Greddy turbocharged model, to one with a carbon fiber widebody.

AUDI: For the first time even, Audi will have an official presence at the SEMA Show and they also have plans to overshadow pretty much everyone with a 710-hp supercharged version of the new V10-powered R8 Spyder build by Stasis engineering. Other Audi models on display will include the TT-S Pikes Peak Autonomous race car and a selection of vehicles sporting the company’s in-house parts and accessories.

CHEVROLET: Along with several secret SEMA projects, Chevy has already announced a long list of tuner cars that will be on display at their booth, including several Camaros, a Corvette and a special Z71 off-road Silverado HD. Five of the Camaros will be SS models, built by Delta Tech Industries, Mummbles Marketing, Raging Bull Marketing, Revolution Styling, Street Concepts and All Star Performance. These will be joined by two V6 models including one by GM Addition and a turbocharged V6 model from Unrestricted Motorsports.

HYUNDAI: With a supercar-inspired Sonata, as well as a special tuned version of the Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec, Hyundai will display three versions of its new Equus flagship luxury sedan including one by DUB, one by Rhys Millen Racing and a VIP-styled model by Mummbles Marketing boasting a turbocharged version of the car’s V8 making 450-hp.

With so many crimes against automotive design and general good taste set to be revealed at the SEMA Show this week, he no holds barred approach to car customization could use a little policing. And what better way to keep the peace than in Ford‘s Police Interceptor Stealth concept.

Set to debut tomorrow alongside a long list of Fiestas, Mustangs and F-Series trucks, this SEMA Show car takes inspiration from the SR-71 Stealth bomber and applies it to Ford’s Taurus SHO. Compared to Ford’s official Police Interceptor, this concept car is lowered by 1-inch and includes some massive 22-inch black wheels. It also gets the complete blacked-out treatment, with dark tint, smoke taillights and exterior brightwork that’s all been painted black.

We just have one question, is it OK to say that a police cruiser has been “murdered out?”

With the 2010 SEMA Show starting tomorrow, we’ll be sure to bring you more photos of the Ford Police Interceptor Stealth Concept soon. Until then, check out our SEMA Preview here.

eibach_crz_6.jpg

Knowing that they potentially have a huge hit on their hands, Honda has really leveraged this year’s SEMA show to hand some of the aftermarket’s most brilliant minds their new CR-Z. Eibach Springs is one of these companies, and having received the car in July, they went straight to work researching and developing new products for the tiny hybrid. And with such a well-known brand as Eibach Springs behind the helm of this build, it’s no surprise that Eibach’s trusted partners for the past several decades also played a role in building the CR-Z for this year’s SEMA Show.

From the Eibach camp, they went straight to what they do best: suspension modifications. The Honda CR-Z was their test bed for a new set of springs, sway bars and mono-tube coilovers. For power, Eibach Springs called their friends at K&N to develop an intake for the new Honda sport hybrid.

Once they got their coilovers installed, the car headed off to get a roll bar designed and the C-West aero kit installed. To accent the C-West aero, Eibach Springs had a Mugen spoiler overnighted from Japan (no, this is not a Fast & Furious joke) – the deadlines of building a SEMA car are pretty stressful.

After paint and body, the car made it back to Eibach to have the Stoptech big brake kit installed along with a set of wheels. With the paint scheme and graphics applied, this CR-Z looks killer. The interior Sparco seats and roll bar really hint that Eibach will be flaunting it out at the track someday soon. We hope so.

With several other CR-Zs planned to be on display at SEMA we’ll be sure to bring you photos of all of them, with AutoGuide’s 2010 SEMA Show coverage starting November 2nd. Until then, check out our complete SEMA Preview here.

The Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Show is set to take place next week and everyone from Scion to Ford have announced big lineups of wild modified vehicles. Having made appearances in year’s past, it’s little surprise to see that Kia will also be in attendance.

No specifics have been given, but a short press release by Kia outlines a total of six vehicles that will be on display. Kia describes them as being a mix of concept and “production-intent” vehicles, meaning that at least one of them is certain to show up at dealers soon.

Included in the press release is the above photo of what appears to be a Limited Edition “Tiger” Soul.

Kia will hold a press conference at SEMA to discuss its show cars, it’s design-lead transformation and its future motorsports activities. AutoGuide’s complete coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show starts Tuesday, November 2nd. Until then, check out our SEMA Preview here.

If the SEMA Show stands for anything, it’s that the aftermarket industry is as much about style as it is about performance. That being said, Lexus has decided to showcase its lineup of hybrid models at the world’s largest aftermarket expo next week.

Several tuners will will take part, including Fox Marketing, EST Styling and VIP Auto Salon, with tuner cars including the HS250h, LS600hL and an RX450h that will get such a wild transformation it will look like some of the modified BMX X6 M cars we’ve seen lately.

Also of note is a GS450h built by 0-60 Magazine outfitted to look like a genuine touring car, with Volk wheels, Tein suspension a massive spoiler and aggressive aero kit.

And let’s not forget the most attractive Lexus to the tuner-set, the new CT200h. Lexus will test the market at SEMA with a CT200h F-Sport Concept, featuring bigger wheels, wider tires, an upgraded braking kit and an F-Sport suspensions.

Oh, and because Lexus also loves horsepower, they’ll also have on hand a Pearl Gray version of its LFA supercar.

AutoGuide’s coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show starts Tuesday, November 2nd. Until then, check out our SEMA Preview here.

Subaru has announced its lineup of booth cars for the 2010 SEMA Show, with center stage going to the record setting ‘Fastest STI Ever.’ Back in June Subaru announced that this test mule for the new 2011 WRX STI lapped the Nürburgring in just 7:55 – a total of 4 seconds faster than the Cadillac CTS-V (despite having almost half the horsepower). It didn’t hurt that the car was piloted by Tommi Makinen either.

Debuting alongside the Fastest STI will be a host of other STIs, including Travis Pastrana’s Mount Washington record setting STI race car, two tuner cars (one by Kicker Audio and one by K&N Performance), and an official in-house project car: the Get More G’s Subaru Performance Tuning WRX STI 2010.

Joining this lineup will be Jamarri Whiteside’s 2006 WRX STI. Who’s Jamarri Whiteside? Well, his WRX won Best of Show at Subiefest this year.

Subaru will also be holding an autograph session with SRT USA drivers Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra, plus four-time World Rally Champion Tommi Makinen will also be in attendance.

AutoGuide’s coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show starts November 2nd. Until then, check out our SEMA Preview here.

For several weeks now Hyundai has been rolling out its lineup of SEMA Show cars, from the wild ARK Genesis Coupe R-Spec to the supercar-inspired Sonata Turbo. Several Equus luxury sedans are also set to make an appearance, including one from Rhys Millen Racing and DUB. Now you can add one more to that list with the latest custom Equus coming from Mummbles Marketing, sporting a VIP-themed look and a 450-hp turbocharged V8.

Mummbles Marketing is no stranger to building one-off SEMA Show cars, and this one looks like one of their best. The “Elegant Equus” gets a 717 Motoring five-piece bodykit coated in a deep burgundy paint, while there’s also a carbon fiber hood, trunk and a carbon fiber overlay for the roof. A massive set of 22-inch Work Equip E10 wheels fit up inside the fenders thanks to an Air Lift suspension system.

Along with some Junction Produce VIP goodies inside, the Elegant Equus will get plenty of black suede, lots of audio equipment (including four subwoofers) and two iPads – which can be used to control the airlift suspension, moving curtains, stereo and windows.

AutoGuide’s 2010 SEMA Show coverage starts Tuesday, November 2nd. Until then, see our complete SEMA Preview here.

Scion has just released a selection of official pictures of its 2010 SEMA Show cars and while there’s the usual selection of over-the-top creations, were also pleased to see a few cars we’d actually like to drive.

Topping the list is the GReddy modified 2011 Scion tC, sporting a turbocharger that the company even refers to as a “prototype,” hinting that it will come to market in the near future. That means owners will be able to strap on 340-hp and 325 ft-lbs of torque with one “simple” modification. Of course, there’s a lot more done under the hood than just that. Other mods include coilovers, a Five-Axis aero kit, TRD brakes, Volk Racing G2 wheels and even a nice set of Sparco seats.

Up next has to be the tC Tuner Challenger car by John Pangilinan, which also comes with a turbo under the hood. The biggest feature of this car, however, has to be the Jon Sibal custom carbon fiber widebody kit and the tC even gets a Seibon carbon fiber trunk and hood. Of course, there’s the obligatory Rays wheels, measuring 10.5-inches wide, with a Brembo big brake upgrade.

Crawford Performance also built a custom tC designed for Time Attack racing. There’s no mention of exactly what engine modifications have been made, but we’re certain Crawford won’t disappoint. Along with a racing livery, it gets custom 18-inch Advan wheels, Tein Coilovers and a TRD big brake kit.

Other highlights include a stretch xB by Cartel, a rally-themed xD by 0-60 Magazine and Sparco and a very original xB by The Salty Dogs.

Each year Scion hosts a Tuner Challenger at SEMA, where shops compete for recognition and prize money by building an ultra-wild SEMA show car. This year’s competition involves the 2011 tC and includes entries by James Lin, John Pangilinan and Shawn Baker. The winner will be picked at SEMA and we’ll be sure to report back on who that is.

AutoGuide’s coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show starts Tuesday, November 2nd. Until then, check out our complete SEMA Preview here.
