The much-anticipated annual Neiman Marcus “Christmas Book” is now available, and within its pages, you’ll find something a little unexpected – a special edition of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible.
But only expect to find one under your tree if you’ve been good, because this gift will cost Santa $75,000 (FYI: everyone here at AutoGuide has been super good. Hint, hint).
You’re going to have to start your holiday shopping soon, as only 100 special edition convertibles will be built. The Camaro Convertible offers luxury amenities that were inspired by Neiman Marcus. The Neiman Marcus Edition showcases exclusive Deep Bordeaux exterior color, accented by subtle, “ghosted” rally stripes. Inside, the Special Edition Camaro Convertible comes with exclusive leather appointments, such as amber-colored leather seating surfaces offset by black leather side panels and red stitching. You’ll also find red accents on the center console, steering wheel and shift knob. The Deep Bordeaux color found outside the car carries over on the inside, making an appearance on the dash and door panels.
The Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible is powered by a 6.2-liter, V8 engine. Pair this with a six-speed manual transmission, and the engine produces 426 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Change that to the six-speed automatic, and the engine delivers 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
“Neiman Marcus provides a great platform to showcase the new Camaro Convertible,” said Tom Peters, Chevrolet Design director. “And, it enabled us to create a special edition car that combines the powerful design and performance of the new Camaro with an element of exclusivity, craftsmanship and customized luxury.”
