Built by Casey Putsch of Putsch Racing, this Batmobile replica is currently up for sale on eBay for $620,000. This one-off Batmobile replica features a 365-hp turbine engine that was taken from a decommissioned helicopter. In fact, it’s the world’s only actual turbine-powered Batmobile and now you’ll have a chance to own it yourself if your pockets are deep enough.
It features a lightweight custom tube frame/monocoque chassis with fully independent suspension, disc brakes and a sequential shifter. Fuel choices include kerosene, diesel or Jet fuel and at 2,800-lbs, Putsch claims it has a power-to-weight ratio comparable to a Dodge Viper. Even more crazy is that the car is registered and insured for road use within the United States. The estimated top speed of this Batmobile is 165- to 180-mph.
The auction states that priority will be given to outright cash sales but trades would be considered. It’s definitely one unique project and even though the price tag is pretty steep, we reckon someone out there is interested in picking it up for their collection.
