Well shucks. It looks like Toyota has a useless carbon fiber mill on its hands now that the LFA is out of production – or does it?
Having a tug-of-war over whether or not calling something a four-door coupe is even reasonable is a waste of time, but the M6 Gran Coupe most certainly isn’t.
But there’s still some life in the current models yet and Subaru has just announced a new tS special edition of the STI in it’s home market of Japan.
While no details of the car have yet to be released, a single photo says plenty. It’s hard to ignore the carbon fiber roof that sits atop the tS model in the lone teaser image Subaru has released, but it’s sure to help drop a few pounds from the car’s overall weight, while helping to reduce the car’s center of gravity.
And if we know Subaru, the tS model is also likely to get some suspension upgrades as well as some new wheels and a few small trim changes.
More importantly, we have to think that the carbon roof is now certain to be carried over to the next-generation STI.
