Alongside the new 911 Carrera GTS and 911 Speedster models, Porsche will unveil a “mid-engine sports car” at the LA Auto Show. While the first two are just North American premieres, having already been shown at the Paris Auto Show, this new model is a World Premier.

As we’ve reported in the past, the car is not some new high-tier exotic, but rather a version of the Cayman inspired by the incredible Boxster Spyder, believed to wear the name “Cayman Clubsport.” That being said, expect a significant weight reduction, a slight bump in power over the Cayman S to 330-hp and Porsche’s dual-clutch PDK transmission for a 0-60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds. Pricing should be roughly $65,300.
