If you’re looking for a cool holiday gift to give the youngsters on your list, consider wrapping up an Automoblox car and trailer.

A cool way to introduce a child to icons of the automotive past, these hot rods are fun to play with (and an acceptable excuse for you to get down on the ground and play along with them). Previously, only the mini versions were available, but this year sees the addition of three hot rod styles as full-size Automoblox cars. This includes the red HR1 ($45), the yellow HR2 ($50) and the blue HR3 ($50). There’s also a new Hot Rod Trailer set ($120) that’s making its debut and includes a full-size hot rod, pickup and trailer.

The full-sized Automoblox cars are only available on the company’s website – you can shop for them here.

A tricycle just won’t cut it for your little style maven. Your child must have the finer things in life – and that’s why your mini motorist should be puttering around in Playsam’s Roadster Saab.

A wooden toy car that boasts clean and simple design inspired by the very first Saab-Sixten Sason’s prototype 92001, the Roadster Saab is made for children over 12 months old.  Outfitted with a high gloss finish, this activity toy looks cool as the original Saab cars from the ‘40s and ‘50s, thanks to its wood and metal steering wheel (just like the old sports car had).

Designed by Ulf Hanses, Playsam’s Roadster Saab will probably turn your toddler into a daycare diva who refuses to nap in the same room as the other children and won’t give other kids a turn in it (because they just got the interior detailed). You can get this posh big wheel for around $390.
