Oh my lord. There are many things on the Internet that can leave one speechless, but this thing might just top them all.

This 1994 Chevy Camaro sports 143,204 miles on the body but sports a transplanted LT-1 motor with only 36,000 miles or so. But the outside is the real reason for our disgust. The current eBay auction (yes, this bad boy is up for sale) states that it was built to “resemble million dollar exotic supercars, without the costs, maintenance, repairs, insurance, etc.” Oh and that it’ll “peal and smoke the tires from a stand still.”

And as offensive as the bodywork is, the builder even utilized 4-inch wheel spacers to accommodate the widebody conversion.

We’re sure it took a lot of effort and the bodywork really does resemble a Lamborghini, but if you’re any sort of car enthusiast and part of you isn’t disgusted by the idea of the creation, we have to question your passion for all things automobile.

eBay is just full of hidden gems and surprises, along with really random and cheap stuff. We ran across this Mitsubishi Eclipse and on the outside it looks like your standard Eclipse with minimal modifications. Then you take a look at the interior and it’s overwhelming … tacky, but then you notice there’s a whole lot of batteries inside and under the hood. “What’s this?” Well, it’s an all electric Eclipse.

The car itself is just your standard, run-of-the-mill 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS but it now features a 72-volt system and a motor manufactured by D&D motor systems. There are nine 8-volt batteries and one 12-volt battery with a recharge time of 8-10 hours. The owner claims that the vehicle has a driving range of anywhere from 15-40 miles depending on your driving speed. Speaking of speed, it’s got a top speed of 60 mph.

Surprisingly the owner admits he’s spent around $9,000 (and countless hours of labor of course) to making the project a reality. It’s interesting to say the least, but we could really do without the ridiculous interior modifications.

Having built project cars ourselves, there are times when you just want to give up. And apparently despair got the better of the owner of this partially-finished Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR Coupe.

Sporting a widebody conversion, the coupe modification and a slew of performance upgrades, not to mention some iForged wheels, it actually looks as though this may be an abandoned project car by the folks at Fox Marketing – known for building SEMA show cars for the likes of Lexus. We also find it hard to believe someone took a virgin car with just 3,736 miles on the odometer and hacked it apart like this.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Mitsubishi had commissioned this car for SEMA last year and then pulled out of the show as the recession took hold.

While we certainly can’t say we love it, if you’re interested in this one-of-a-kind EVO Coupe and you’re willing to invest some more dollars into finishing it then you’re in luck. While the eBay listing has since concluded, the seller’s reserve price wasn’t met, meaning if you are interested then check out the listing for contact info.

Back in GM’s glory days, when John Zachary Delorean assumed the mantle of General Manager at Pontiac Motor Division, the flamboyant engineer had begun work on his own pet sports car project – the XP-833 – designed as an affordable two-seater alternative to the Chevy Corvette.

Running prototypes were built and the futuristic Banshee almost made it into production, GM pulling the plug at the eleventh hour, just prior to the 1964 New York Auto Show. Though the Banshee never made it to market, Pontiac’s pony car, the 1967 Firebird, adopted elements of the Banshee, as did the “wasp waisted” 1968 Corvette.

In an unusual turn for an experimental car, both Banshee prototypes survived the crusher, winding up in the hands of GM employees and subsequently private collectors. One is currently owned by famed GM dream car collector Joe Bortz, while this, the other, has emerged from the shadows. In what ranks as one of the most highly publicized online auctions of the year, the car is up for grabs on eBay; presenting the chance of a lifetime for one lucky bidder. This particular car, once owned by Bill Killen, is a fully functioning and drivable machine, but one that displays just 1,498 miles on the odometer. Someway, somehow this “creation” managed to fetch over $40,000 on eBay. Needless to say, this surely proves there’s absolutely no accounting for taste.

Funnier still is reading the description on eBay about this one-of-a-kind Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept replica. But we’re less amused by the fact that this replicar meant they had to destroy a perfectly good 2008 Corvette.

They even recommend that you can service the vehicle at any local shop or dealership since it’s all Corvette. Could you imagine pulling up into your local dealership with this creation and asking them to do an oil change? And best of all they even take the liberty to warn you that if you’re the owner of the car be prepared for the crowds of people that will swarm you asking for photos while valet drivers fighting over who gets to park it.

And since this company went so out of their way to deface this perfectly good Corvette, we’ll insist you to visit the eBay auction and make sure you check out the fantastic grammar, spelling and… oh just go already, we’re getting nauseous just thinking about it.

Well that surely didn’t take long. A 2010 Nissan 370Z that was built by Chris Forsberg Racing in conjunction with NOS Energy Drink debuted at the E3 Expo this year and marketed as a giveaway car. And just like that, the winner of the giveaway has promptly placed it up on sale on eBay with a buy it now price of $37,999.00.

Considering he got the car for a pretty price of $0.00, it may seem like a scam, but for what you’re getting it’s not a bad price at all. The Cherry Red 370Z currently has about 2,000 miles and is located in South Carolina. None of the modifications are over-the-top, but rather a collection of finely selected parts that complement the 370Z’s natural bodylines and performance quite nicely.

Performance enhancements include a K&N Typhoon dual intake kit and a custom Chris Forsberg Designed stainless steel axle-back exhaust system. We’re guessing the power increase isn’t anything substantial from those two parts, but certainly the tone of the vehicle is enhanced.

The exterior has been repainted Cherry Red (in collaboration with NOS Energy Drink’s Loaded Cherry product) and accented with a set of SSR Type F Wheels in gold. The staggered setup features 18-inch wheels in the front and 19-inch wheels in the rear. Naturally the wheels are wrapped with Maxxis Tires, Chris Forsberg’s tire sponsor. Suspension is handled with a set of Tanabe lowering springs and carbon fiber goods were given by Seibon in the form of a lip kit and hood. Interior and ICE upgrades are scant with just a new head unit from Clarion.

The starting bid is at $29,999 and so far there are none. But what is interesting is that the seller is Upscale Automotive a distributor for go-fast parts for the sport compact and import community. So either they got really lucky, or they’ve got a friend that was the winner.

Still got World Cup fever. What’s the cure? Take ride in a Hyundai football car and call us in the morning.

To celebrate their association with the 2010 Football World Cup, Hyundai UK commissioned two very special i10s – and now, one of them has been sold for £5005 (that’s about $7,808 U.S.) on eBay.

The football cars were designed by car artist Andy Saunders, which showcases grass bodywork (AstroTurf), a giant football on the roof and goal posts. The 09-plate 1.2-liter Hyundai i10 World Cup football car comes with seats that were trimmed in plastic grass coverings, while the dashboard is painted white to go along with the soccer theme. This particular model was one of two Hyundai i10s lent to Jeremy Clarkson for his 2009 video Duel (you can watch the video after the jump).

Proceeds of the sale will go to BEN, which is a UK automotive industry charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependents.

Peter North is best known for…well, we’ll let you figure that out on your own. Suffice to say, this guy is well known for a reason, and his career in adult films has given him sufficient fame and fortune to enjoy life, and build a pretty well done Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo.

North’s 300ZX was worked on by famed Nissan tuner Stillen, and the car features some choice upgrades like ball-bearing HKS turbochargers, a re-built engine with forged rods and pistons, a ported and polished head (*cue childish snickers at the words “rod”, “polished”, and head*), Volk Racing wheels and a built automatic transmission capable of handling 800 horsepower. The car makes 518 horsepower at the wheels with 22 psi of boost. While the engine only has 15,000 miles on it, the car has around 212,000, but we have to say it looks incredibly clean for the amount of use it’s gotten.

Bidding for the car is currently at $6,600 with 5 days left. You can check out North’s 300ZX here.

Shaquille O’Neal is undoubtedly one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but his acting and music careers have not been so spectacular, with the athlete being nominated for a Razzie Award for “Worst Actor”. Shaq also has an interest in custom cars, but we’ll let you be the judge of this example, a Ferrari 456, that popped up for sale on Ebay.

Thankfully devoid of Shaq’s signature “Superman” motif, this Ferrari 456 was given some choice modifications to enable the 7’1″ O’Neal to ride in the car. The rear seats were removed to make room for a longer seat rail, so that O’Neal could achieve a driving position that was somewhat comfortable. A custom removable glass roof, something not previously available on a Ferrari 456, was also installed to give Shaq some more interior room.

For just under $39,000, it’s one of the cheapest modern Ferraris out there, but it’s also automatic and has some modifications that purist types would likely wretch at.  But you get the provenance of owning Shaq’s old car, and one of the world’s only custom 456s.
