Fab Design, that normally specializes in customizing various Mercedes-Benz models, was approached by one of their most dedicated customers to transform his Cadillac Escalade to a true one-of-a-kind American luxury SUV. Well, we’re not too sure of the results and quite frankly we believe Fab Design should just stick to Mercedes-Benz models.

The craftsmanship looks to be top notch, and there was some originality with the modifications, but we have some question marks on why certain things were done the way they were. From the headlight covers to the oversized grille to the obscured tailgate glass, we can’t help but think Fab Design just wanted to be as big and bold as possible with the build. Or perhaps they just wanted to scare away anyone else from ever asking them to do anything to a vehicle other than a Mercedes.

Worse off, the interior is so excessive that it caught the attention of Pro Wildlife, causing Roland Rysanek (owner of Fab Design) to have to defend the build. The owner wanted the interior to be completely decked out with snake leather and imitation crocodile leather. Rysanek of course obliged, and had to state that the snake skin used came from snakes that had been killed without causing them pain – as opposed to being skinned alive.

Unfortunately whatever way we look at it, this Escalade seems to be a bad idea from any angle.

Quite possibly the most radically built Mercedes SLS yet, FAB Design has officially named their widebody SLS tuning program: Gullstream. Originally revealed in a light blue shade, FAB Design has now shown off all the lines and curves of its custom SLS with a bright white variant. Along with unveiling this version, FAB Design has also released some more details on the package.

At the heart of it all is a widebody kit that features an all new front bumper, fenders, side skirts, rear quarter panels, rear bumper and rear diffuser. A lip spoiler made of carbon fiber is probably the most subtle of all the upgrades while the roof receives a non-functional air scoop.

For wheels, the SLS AMG runs a staggered 10-inch and 12-inch wide setup of three-piece Evolution wheels that feature a concave design. Suspension duties are handled with Koni’s coilovers that can also be found on the SLS GT3 race car, giving the car that ‘stance’ look. FAB has also designed their own quad-tipped exhaust system for the SLS AMG.

Overall power gains goes from 563-hp to 607-hp. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but chances are you either can’t afford it, or don’t want to.

When Mercedes-Benz first released its SLS AMG flgaship sports car, we found it hard to believe that an aftermarket tuner would have the audacity to alter its fine lines in a negative way.

Instead of keeping it subtle and clean, FAB Design outfitted this SLS AMG with an all new front bumper that sports additional vents and a front lip, neither of which seem to fit with the classic design of the SLS. The side skirts are minimal in design, but the roof scoop has got to go. The rear bumper could be worse and the rear spoiler also seems a tad out of place. FAB Design’s choice of blinged-out 20-inch wheels further shows how far off the mark the Swiss tuner is with complementing the SLS AMG’s natural lines.

The good news is, they were able to eke out another 40-hp from the already potent V8 power plant. So we guess if that option is available on its own, then we’d be all over that. That is, if we even had an SLS AMG laying around for us to ruin.

FAB Design, a German tuner shop famous for West Coast Customs-style rapper-trash modifications on Mercedes vehicles, has outdone itself by blinging out a Maybach 57 S. Notice we said, “ruin” in the headline.. with quotes… as Maybach models aren’t exactly gems to begin with.

Other than the obvious blue paint, the car features ASMA-like fenders that extend the width of the car by 30cm – essentially one foot (although that sounds like an exaggeration based on the photos). Up front a new bumper has some large square cutouts that match the rear exhaust outlets.

Inside the wheel wells are 20-inch rims, with some extra wider rubber that measures 265/30/20 up front and 325/25/20 out back.

FAB Design says that thanks to their engine tuning the car now makes 650hp and 756 ft-lbs of torque and can hit 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds. Top speed is rated at 186 mph – the same speed the Brabus modified Maybach achieved to set a record for the world’s fastest Maybach. Again, it sounds like FAB Design is embellishing.

The interior of the car features white leather and gobs and gobs of blue Alcantara.

On a positive note, the company did make use of some nice carbon fiber details around the door handles and other areas.

FAB Design says just 15 version of this vehicle will be built for customers and while we can see some of them being ordered, with Maybach’s low sales volume 15 sounds like wishful thinking.

FAB Design is usually at the Geneva Auto Show so we’ll be sure to get more info if we can. And if you thought this was over the top, we’re certain Mansory has something just as even more ridiculous in store for Geneva.
