Hearing any Ferrari out on a racetrack is automotive bliss; but seeing and hearing the rare FXX Evoluzione race car out on the track is simply something else.

A pair of FXX Evolutions took to Monza Race Track during the Ferrari corse clienti and both appear to be equipped with the Evoluzione kit which takes power from 790-hp to a ridiculous 860-hp. Both vehicles sound every bit the rare race car that it is. Owners fork out close to $2-million to have the opportunity to own one but are only allowed to drive it on special track days approved by Ferrari. How’s that for exclusivity?

The FXX is based on the Ferrari Enzo, but has its V12 motor stroked to a 6.3-liters rather than the 6.0-liter seen in the street-legal Enzo. When equipped with the Evoluzione kit, the 860-hp Ferrari makes the Enzo’s 651-hp seem paltry. Undoubtedly for these Ferrari owners, the high price to pay for just a few days of driving time is well worth it.

The world’s most exclusive Ferrari is heading to RM Auctions on May 12, and could be yours for an estimated price of $1.7 to $2.2 million.

Ferrari only produced 30 of its 860-hp FXX Evoluzione supercars and this particular example has only had one owner and has always been kept at the Ferrari factory’s Corse Clienti department. The 2006 FXX Evoluzione comes with a 6.3-liter V12 mated to a six-speed, paddle-shift F1-style transmission and is a must have for any die-hard Ferrari collector.

The second-generation Evoluzione is Ferrari’s most advanced GT car and weighs in at a scant 2,500 lbs. Combine that with 860-hp and you have a 0-60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds. Compared to the standard FXX, the Evoluzione model also sports a new rear diffuser and rear flaps, helping improve aerodynamic efficiency by 25 percent.

This car also features a stunning color combination of jet black with the infamous Italian ‘Tricolore’ on the front and rear of the car. The owner will also get a number of spare parts with the purchase.

Ever dreamed of owning your own exotic car collection? Well, if you recently won a hefty lottery jackpot then Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale has you covered. The allocator of fine machines has assembled six of the most exotic vehicles ever made and is offering them for a lump-sum purchase of $9 million.

So what will $9 million buy you? The list is impressive, ranging from the obligatory Veyron, to the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR. The Veyron is just one of 71 models built in 2008, capable of hitting 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 253 mph. And if you’re in to top-speed machines, one can’t overlook the Koenigsegg CCR with its twin-supercharged V8 making 806-hp. One of only 34 ever built it has just 277 miles on it.

No supercar garage would be complete without a Ferrari – an Enzo no less. This collection includes two of the prized stallions, one more exotic than the other. The first is a 2003 Enzo and is “Ferrari Classiche certified” with just 3,413 mile on the odometer. The second is not just an FXX (of which only 35 were ever made), but an FXX Evolution, meaning it is just one of 17 and makes an astonishing 850-hp.

Rounding out the list is a one-of-20 Lamborghini Reventon. In many ways a functioning design concept for the brand, this car has just 68 miles on it. And to prove you’re a car snob with taste, there’s that Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Super Sport, a road legal version of the GT1 race car, powered by a 720-hp 7.3-liter V12. It is number 17 or 25.

In total, the collection lays down 4,500 horsepower.

At $9 million for the collection of six, pricing for each model has not been given, but they are listed individually, in case yesterday’s stock tumble means you’re a little strapped for cash.

Back in 2006, Ferrari introduced a whole new way for the rich to be separated from some of their cash, by building a track only version of the Enzo supercar. This new car was called the FXX and while initially only 29 were to be made, by the time production ended, 38 were built.

Now one of these $2-million track day specials is up for sale, and while it currently sits in Italy at Ferrari’s Corse Clienti department, the owner of this car (chassis no. 146359) is from Toronto, Canada.

According to this cars history, the owner Lorne Leibel drove the FXX in every single Corse Clienti event held around the world and will give its new owner a heart-stopping ride in the next event at Infineon Raceway in May.

This particular example was also given the Evo upgrade package which raised the power to 860 hp. To date it has covered 5000 kms (3105-miles) and while no sale price has been given, you can bet it’ll be worth more than most peoples houses.

Top Gear kicked off a new season in the U.K. with two big stunts. For starters, it revealed that The Stig is none other than Michael Schumacher.

More amazingly, however, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion piloted his very own black Ferrari FXX  around the Top Gear test track completely obliterating the previous record held by the Gumpert Apollo. The Gumpert’s best lap was an incredible 1:17, while the 800hp 6.3-liter V12 FXX crossed the line in just 1:10. As it’s not street-legal, however, we wouldn’t exactly call this matchup a fair fight.
