Honda has recalled 347 Accords and Crosstours citing the possibility of a side curtain airbag failure.

In the event of a collision the side curtain airbags may fail to deploy, putting the vehicle occupants at higher risk of injury. Customers can bring their 2012 Accords and Crosstours into any Honda dealership and have their side curtain airbag system replaced for free. The recall is set to begin on February, 10th. Accord or Crosstour owners can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009 for more information.

Honda is recalling 310,773 Pilot SUVs from the 2009-2011 model years for faulty driver and passenger seat belts. There is a possible issue of the seat belt anchor detaching due to an unfinished seat belt anchor webbing during the sewing process. The first issue was reported back in May 2010 with the seat belt anchor detaching and another was made in July, which prompted an investigation for the recall.

Notifications to owners will be sent out next month and if necessary, dealers will replace the seat belts on the vehicles.

Honda’s recent airbag recall in North America is a growing problem for the auto maker. The recall, which affect 2001 to 2003 model Honda and Acura vehicles, is related to a faulty airbag module that might have been replaced by a defected service part, when the original driver’s airbag was changed.

This latest recall notice means Honda has to service an additional 833,000 vehicle. That is on top of the 437,763 units Honda had recalled last year for the same issue.

The faulty part is the airbag inflator, which could fail in the event of a crash, resulting in potential serious injury to the driver.

Vehicles affected include some 2001 to 2002 Honda Accord and Civic, 2002 Odyssey, 2002 to 2003 CR-V and Acura 3.2 TL, and 2003 3.2 CL coupes.

So if your vehicle is affected, Honda will send out recall letters by the end of May.

Honda has announced a recall of 18,056 Civics from 2011 model year due to a fuel pump that could malfunction. Honda says the fuel pumps could have been damaged in the production process and that in the case of a roll-over accident could cause gasoline to leak from the tank.

Owners of vehicles affected by the limited recall will be notified by mid-April. So until then – don’t roll your car over.

Honda has announced that it will recall a total of 412,000 vehicles due to a problem with the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) modulator, that could cause a soft brake pedal feel. In total, 344,000 Odyssey minivans and 68,000 Elements, from the 2007-8 model years are affected.

Honda claims a “self check” mode for the system may allow a small amount of air into the modulator, which over time can result in what it calls a, “soft break pedal,” or “low brake pedal.”

A notification will be sent to all owners starting at the end of April, at which point Honda encourages owners to take their vehicle to an authorized dealer.

In order to make the process more user-friendly, Honda has announced it is setting up a website (as well as a dedicated call center) where owners can go as of April 19th, to see if their vehicle is in need of a recall. The contact number is 800-999-1009 (option 4) and the website is www.recalls.honda.com
