SEMA is a long way off, but this could help you curb your anxiety until November. Creations n’ Chrome has teamed up with Gurnade Design Firm to show off this detailed renderingof their upcoming Ford Mustang project to debut at the 2012 SEMA Show.

Creations n’ Chrome built numerous Mustangs for SEMA and Ford as recently as 2010 and 2011. Last year, they also built the unique Blue Angels Ford Mustang that claimed $400,000 at a charity auction. This year, however, it seems that they are after a retro look. Given how big of a hit the 1993 Cobra R was at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year, this project should have quite the crowd around it.

The one-of-a-kind Mustang will be in the Spectra Chrome booth at this year’s SEMA Show, packing the new HRE Vintage Series wheels and “something special and supercharged” under the hood. We’re guessing we’ll be seeing some new-age Ford powerplant running this classic Fox Body Mustang.

Those familiar with the automotive industry probably know HRE Wheels as a brand that lasted through the aftermarket world’s tumultuous business cycles.

After the three-piece wheel boom that saw dozens of new “wheel manufacturers” come and go, the trend turned to single-piece, concave wheels while other companies shot for an old-school look.

HRE isn’t among that group, instead they stayed true to their innovative history, which started in 1979. The Vintage Series is a throwback to the original HRE designs and stays true to the company’s roots. One of the rare brands in the industry that can go back 25 years into their history for a product that fits today’s market.

StanceWorks collaborated with HRE Wheels to bring the Vintage Series to life and recently released a video showcasing how the Vintage Series wheels are made.  The ultimate homage is the fact that the same hands used to polished a classic HRE wheel that was manufactured 25 years ago, are the ones working on the Vintage Series today. The high-quality video features footage of a wheel being manufactured with fittingly-dramatic music in the background.

Those who have seen an HRE wheel generally think the exquisite designs and manufacturing process is second to none. The quality that goes into them make the logo synonymous with perfection in many tuner minds.

We’ve checked out Oakley Designs’ rendition of Ferrari’s 458 Italia before and now we’ll have a chance to see it in person in the HRE booth at this year’s SEMA show. By far one of the cleanest styling packages we have seen for the new Italia, the British tuner looks to to give it the American spotlight with its North American debut at the largest aftermarket show in America.

Since the Oakley Design 458 comes exclusively with HRE P40S Monoblok wheels, it’s no surprise Oakley Design opted to go with a co-branding opportunity in HRE’s booth. And for those that don’t know the details behind Oakley Design’s 458 Italia, it gets a power boost from 562-hp to 618-hp thanks to a remapped ECU and larger carbon fiber intake box.

The exterior is accented with a new front spoiler that provides plenty of additional down force while the rear gets a spoiler with Gurney flap.

GALLERY: Oakley Design Ferrari 458 Italia SEMA Car

Austrian-based tuner, Königseder has built a demo Nissan GT-R to show off their new front lip, diffuser and side skirts. Saturated in a bright orange finish, Königseder’s GT-R claims to push out 572-hp, close to 100 more than the stock 485-hp offering.

Aiding in those horsepower gains are an ECU upgrade, air filter and titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic. To accent their front lip/splitter and side skirts offering, Königseder opted to lower their car on a set of KW coilovers and bolted on a 21×9.5-inch and 21×11-inch set of beautiful HRE 595R wheels finished in a glossy black. They wrapped the classy wheels with Yokohama’s Advan Sport tires.

Truth be told, we’re not huge fans of Königseder’s front lip/splitter combo, but we couldn’t pass-up the opportunity to post a bright orange GT-R with a stunning set of HREs.

HRE Wheels has introduced three centerlock wheel models for the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3 in OEM and custom applications. Styles include the three piece Competition Series C90-C and C93-C, while HRE also offers a monoblok one series offering with their P40-C design.

The perfect bolt-on wheel for the new Porsche Turbo and GT3, they are available in 18- and 19-inch applications, engineered to minimize weight starting at 17 lbs. Our favorite part about HRE Wheels is their ability to do completely custom sizes and offsets along with colors and finishes.

In addition, all of HRE Wheels for the Porsche are designed to specific load ratings in the front and the rear in order to maintain the strength required by the new higher horsepower Porsches.

GALLERY: HRE Centerlock Wheels for Porsche Turbo, GT3

HRE Monoblok and 3-piece forged alloy wheels now available for Porsche Turbo, GT3 and other Centerlock fitments in a variety of styles and finishes.

HRE Performance Wheels has unveiled a series of forged centerlock wheels for 2010 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and GT3 models. HRE centerlock applications include the three-piece Competition Series C90-C and C93-C and the one-piece Monoblok P40-C.

The latest HRE centerlock wheels for 2010 Porsche cars are precision engineered for ultra light weight, maximum strength and exclusive style for Street & Track applications. All HRE wheels are engineered to stringent German TÜV specs in HRE’s TÜV-approved manufacturing facility.

HRE’s three-piece Competition Series C90-C and C93-C three piece centerlock wheels are available in 18″ and 19? diameters with OE widths and offsets, or HRE can supply custom widths and offset for modified fenders or race-prepared cars. These wheels are extremely lightweight, starting at 17 lbs depending on the size. All HRE Comp Series wheels are manufactured from aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum, titanium hardware and feature precision engineered lightening pockets on both sides of the wheel center and spokes as well. A variety of finishes are available: centers, outer rims and inner rims can be finished in custom colors independently for a unique look to match any street or race car. Standard finishes include black, charcoal or silver powdercoat in gloss, satin or textured finishes. Brushed with tinted clearcoat is also a new finish choice.

HRE’s Monoblok™ Series P40-C wheels are made from the same forged aluminum as the Compeition Series, but in a one-piece format. Monoblok wheels are engineered to minimize unsprung mass and rotational inertia for optimal acceleration and braking performance. All Monoblok wheels are available in the same standard and optional finishes as Competition Series wheels, and all finishes are applied in-house at HRE’s 60,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in San Diego.

True to HRE’s detailed engineering reputation, Competition and Monoblok Series front and rear wheels are independently designed to specific load ratings for the new Porsches, to optimize weight savings while maintaining strength required by the new higher horsepower Porsche offerings.

In addition to these specific wheels for the 2010+ Porsche sports cars, many HRE models are available in multi-lug or centerlock formats. Call and inquire for specific fitments. Each wheel is built to order for the ultimate customizing experience.

When spy photos first showed up on the Internet of Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s new 2011 drift Ford Mustang, many were curious on why it didn’t sport the atypical Falken Tire paint scheme. We knew he was out testing with the rest of the team, so it was clear that his “secret sponsor” would be huge and probably wanting priority on the colors campaigned on the car. So when Gittin finally debuted the car sporting an all out Monster Energy scheme, we applauded. It’s the perfect fit for the brand, throwing themselves into the mix of energy drinks that are already flying colors through Formula DRIFT competition.

Monster Energy Drink is famously known for sponsoring Ken Block, gymkhana-extraordinaire. His over-the-top videos have shocked the world and garnered the attention of millions with a simple click of an upload button to YouTube. Gittin Jr. has a similar personality as Block, driving the wheels and tires (literally!) off his Mustang in previous years of competition. Gittin has also become the poster child for the Ford Mustang Drifting-brand, having done much in his off-season to promote the Mustang chassis. He even showed off his own RTR-C Mustang at SEMA 2009.

The exterior styling of the 2011 Mustang has been changed to resemble Gittin’s RTR-C variation on the street. His relationship with HRE Wheels has always been outstanding, so it’s no surprise that he’s sporting some new ones. Falken Tires is now campaigning a new RT-615K tire for their drift team. Other than that, while the new 2011 Mustang sports a 5.0-liter V8, this drift ‘Stang still uses a 4.6L supercharged V8 from last season, laying down well-over 600-hp. The great news is, Justin Pawlak (who previously drove the Bergenholtz RX-8 we reported on earlier) will be driving Gittin’s 2010 Mustang in competition this year. Plenty of American muscle swinging sideways! We’re excited to be at Formula DRIFT Long Beach this weekend!

After much anticipation, Rhys Millen Racing has finally unveiled its mid-engined V8-powered Genesis Coupe at the 2009 SEMA Show. The RMR460 gets its name from the powerful Tau 4.6-liter V8, that has been borrowed from the Genesis Sedan. But RMR wasn’t satisfied with leaving the engine stock, instead choosing to upgrade the engine’s internals (with things like JE pistons) ad a set of eight individual throttle bodies for optimum throttle respponse and power. Output is rated at 500-hp!

Finally, a new transmission was needed to get all that power to the rear wheels and for that RMR went to Mendeola for a five-seed sequential box that allows the car to reach a top speed of 182 mph!

Additional modifications include an RMR Signature Edition Kit, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and rear hatch, Sparco seats and 20-inch HRE 560 series wheels, with some big 285/30/20 rear Toyo T1R tires.
