Who says money can’t buy… creativity? Arguably the ultimate garage we’ve ever set eyes on, this owner and collector of very fine vehicles clearly not only has taste, but the willingness to think outside the box when it comes to customizing his exotics.

But before we get to the yellow Ferrari 360 GT that’s the topic of this post, it’s worth mentioning just what resides in this garage: a Ferrari 360 Challenge, two Ferrari 360s, a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, a Ferrari F430 Spyder, a Lotus Exige, Pagani Zonda, Pagani Zonda Monza, Porsche GT3, Porsche GT3 RS, Porsche GT3 RS MK2, two Porsche Carrera GTs, a Ruf R Turbo Widebody. And missing from the photo? A few Porsche cup cars and a yellow Pagani Zonda C12S.

But of all the cars in this ridiculous garage, its the yellow Ferrari 360 GT with Chevrolet badges and ‘SS 427′ on the side that’s the most original. Apparently the owner blew the stock 360 GT powerplant while at the track (gotta respect a Ferrari-owner that takes their car to the track!) and rather than forking out the money to replace it with another Ferrari engine, he got clever. In went a fully built 427-ci Lingenfelter Performance-built power plant that pushes out over 1,000-hp.

A one of one garage that features a one of one car.

We’ve seen some crazy car builds in our time, but this one might top the list. SVK Customs based out of Sweden has been overhauling a Ferrari 550 GTR to one exotic machine. Just a brief overview will make any enthusiast drop their jaw: custom carbon fiber widebody kit, BMW powerplant and custom fabricated suspension components to give it some extreme steering angles for drifting – yes drifting.

A closer look at the suspension components reveals plenty of custom fabrication along with center-bolt hubs for the wheels.

For horsepower, SVK wasn’t content with the factory Italian V12, so in went a BMW European V8 with desires of obtaining over 1,000-hp. Yikes.

Ferrari Confirms Hybrid Concept Car Coming

Likely to Debut at LA Auto Show

Ferrari has confirmed that a hybrid model is in the works and that a concept car will debut as early as the LA Auto Show this December. The news comes directly from Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa just weeks after a patent application for a hybrid system by Ferrari was uncovered.

At almost the same time that patent application was discovered, a second one relating to a turbocharged powerplant was also found. Felisa also confirmed that turbochargers are a potential avenue that the Italian exotic car maker is looking into. He did, however, say that a turbocharged Ferrari engine would still provide the high-revving feel that is so much a part of a Ferrari engine.

These two green alternatives (as well as one other) are being looked at by Ferrari in order to meet stringent European emissions regulations set to take effect in 2014. The final alternative is a bio-fuel or flex-fuel engine – like the one the company debuted at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit (pictured above).

Whatever route Ferrari takes, it is expected that the new model or models will be in addition to the current lineup, in order to reduce emissions across the fleet while retaining the Ferrari performance focus.
