Call him what you want: JBiebz, the Biebernator, JB, or Justin. How ever you say it, Canada’s most identifiable teen is easy to spot. Just look for the hordes of drooling prepubescent girls who flock after him like Cookie Monster chasing the Keelber Elf.
If that’s not enough, or in the rare event he gives them the slip, the ever-ostentatious Justin Bieber will still be blindingly visible thanks to his recent automotive sacrilege.
It seems the Stratford lad didn’t like his recently-received Fisker Karma birthday present in its original color so he turned to West Coast Customs, of MTV fame, to turn the car into a rolling mirror.
Roger Ormisher, director of Fisker global communications, told us that “the Karma’s battery only depletes to about 15% state of charge”
Similar to the Chevrolet Volt, the Karma uses a gas generator to help extend the vehicles electric range.
Tesla ran into some hot water when a customer left their Roadster discharged and unplugged for two months. When the customer tried to charge the car again, it wouldn’t take a charge. When the car was taken to Tesla for repairs, it was estimated to cost $40,000 to fix.
Fisker made sure to point out that its battery is “a different composition to that of Tesla’s meaning that it takes many months to fully discharge even if it is not plugged in.”
While that doesn’t mean the Karma is completely immune to ‘bricking’ it does offer some peace of mind to owners. We guess the Biebs can go on tour for a few months with his Karma unplugged, but we wouldn’t recommend it!
When teen heartthrob Justin Bieber (aka the Biebs) is spotted around town, its usually behind the wheel of a Bentley or Ferrari. But from now on, he’ll likely be piloting his newest toy; a responsible means of transportation given to him on the occasion of his 18th birthday.
Celebrating on the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun handed over the keys to a shiny new Fisker Karma.
“We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you’re on the road you are always environmentally friendly,” said Braun, adding, “And we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out.”
The startup American electric car company is named after its founder Henrik Fisker, an industry veteran and designer of cars like the BMW Z8 and many of the modern Aston Martins. The Karma uses a range extended electric drive engine similar to that found in the Chevy Volt. It makes over 400 hp, however, and can sprint to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, while also offering a 32 mile emissions free range and several hundred miles thereafter at roughly 52 mpg.
Bieber is the latest celebrity to purchase a Karma with the very first owner being well known celebrity and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio.
Most of the time when a celebrity has something to do with cars, it means there’s a specialty line being made, like a Funkmaster Flex edition Ford Explorer – ugh! This wasn’t one of those cases. Bieber decided to sign the car’s dashboard in silver pen ink and set it up for sale on Ebay. The goal? Raising money for a good cause.
The cause in question? Well, the young lad wanted to fix up the skate park in his home town of Stratford, Ontario up in Canada. It didn’t look like the car would actually bring in the minimum bid he had hoped for, but at the last minute someone swooped in to scoop the car up, though we don’t know who.
Don’t be surprised if it shows up on an upcoming episode of something like MTV’s My Super Sweet 16 series. There really aren’t too many people willing to drop that much cash on a car that starts at $22,250 aside from a one percenter with a spoiled 15-year-old who’s crushing on the Biebs.

Have you got Bieber Fever? If so, you’ll want to bid on a Justin Bieber autographed car that’s going to be on eBay this Friday.
We know, it’s easy to make fun of all the Bieber fanatics out there, but the proceeds of this sale are going to a good cause. Beiber wants to raise money to refurbish a skate park in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.
The car that’s been autographed is a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0 Turbo. Beiber took time out of his busy Christmas schedule when he was in town to sign the car, when he told Frank Sandola of Stratford Hyundai that he wanted the money raised from the auction to go to the skate park.
If you’re wondering where the teen idol signed his famous moniker, you’ll find it on the dashboard and the sun visor. If you’re interested, it goes up for auction this Friday, January 20 and will be up for 10 days. There’s no word if there will be a “Buy it Now” option, but we think it’ll do pretty well without it.
The way to a girl’s heart is through expensive automobiles – at least, that’s what Justin Bieber is betting on. In an attempt to impress his girlfriend Selena Gomez, the Canadian singer dropped more than $160,000 on a customized Range Rover.
The Range Rover, a ‘Project Kahn’ car, comes with an $80,000 sound system, leather interior, modified paintwork and a Cosworth engine.
“Justin loves his motors even though he’s barely old enough to drive”, a source told The Sun newspaper. “His girlfriend Selena Gomez will be well impressed with his latest. It’s the business.”
Bieber’s new ride is being shipped from Bradford, West Yorkshire, which is in Northern England to his LA home. The ‘Project Kahn’ operation boasts a star-studded clientele, which have included England soccer star Wayne Rooney and TV star Katie Price.

After buying his son a Maybach 57S for his 16th birthday, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has handed over the set of keys to another ridiculously expensive car to teen heartthrob Justin Bieber. After being seen rolling around Miami in a murdered-out Ferrari F430 on HRE’s last weekend (photo above), Bieber is now rocking another $200k plus whip: Diddy’s personal Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
Diddy, who justified buying his kid a Maybach on Nightline by saying, “I think it’s appropriate to give my kids whatever I want.” Has a valid point. All these kids are going to be screwed up drug addicts by the time they are 25, so they may as well enjoy driving around before they figure out what blow is.
We don’t know if Diddy gave JB the car, or if he’s just borrowing it, but we do know this: sources inside MTV tell us that approximately 1/3 of the cars on “My Super Sweet 16″ were just props for the show, and not actual gifts to the kids, including an S-Class Benz, a Lamborghini, and a Maserati.
Let’s just hope Diddy has some extra cash to drop on some car-control courses, so the ‘Biebs doesn’t end up wrapped around a telephone pole.
Exploiting social media for all it’s worth, MINI isn’t about to let up on its David vs Golliath challenge. As we’re sure you recall, MINI recently challenged Porsche to a race at Road Atlanta. Porsche subsequently declined, trading MINI’s fun jabs for biting disdain of the fun British brand. (Funny, we always thought German’s were known for there sense of humor).
We’re all but certain Porsche will once again decline, but it doesn’t really matter. Either way, MINI is coming out of this on top, with tons of publicity and lots of laughs. And even if Porsche accepted and MINI lost, it would still be a positive for MINI, just that Porsche would even acknowledge that MINI is a competitor.
It’s for that exact reason that we can’t ever seen Porsche accepting. In fact, we can already predict the response will have something to do with Porsche’s recent class win at Le Mans.
