A very rare Lamborghini Diablo GTR is being sold through Symbolic Motors  in San Diego, California. Only 30 of these cars were ever built from 1999 to 2000.

Of these 30, only two or three have never seen the track including this one. Only 1,255 kilometers are on the odometer making this car very unique. This 6.0-liter V12 GTR produces 600 horsepower mated to a five speed manual gearbox. The car also features a full roll cage, fire suppression system, pneumatic jacks and a free- flowing exhaust. The dealer is asking $699,999, if you’re interested.

Yesterday news broke of a disgruntled Lamborghini owner in China, who hired a crew of blue-costumed laborers to destroy his prized car in protest.

The Gallardo in question was wrecked on World Consumer Rights Day, after Lamborghini couldn’t get the car to run properly.

We’re sure Lambo is getting the point with all this bad publicity, even if it hardly reflects well on the owner.

Initial photos of the Lambo-smash hit the web yesterday, but now we’ve got the video!

The government of Canada is auctioning off a Lamborghini Countach, with bids starting at the low price of $58,000. The vehicle was forfeited to the Canada Revenue Agency (the Canadian IRS) with only 54,000 miles on the clock.

The vehicle was originally listed for an opening price of $70,000 but failed to get a single bid. We’re sure that the Canadian government employees at the non-descript storage facility housing the Countach are just fine with the car sticking around. The government worker seen posing with the car probably had a poster of a Countach in his childhood bedroom.

Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and admire someone else’s hard-earned money at work. SR Auto Group got their hands on #100 of 350 Lamborghini LP670-SVs out there in the world and added their own treatment. Can you really go wrong by going with a matte black treatment on one of the world’s rarest Italian supercars?

To go with the menacing flat black look, a set of 20-inch Pur Design One wheels were bolted onto the bull. The wheels aren’t overly flashy, and are probably a great option for those with a Lamborghini wanting something a little subtle yet sporty and classy. It sports a 12-spoke design with a concave style and this particular set was finished in a glossy black.

It’s not the orange and black Status design Murcielago, but it’s certainly an appropriately fearsome Halloween treat.

Lamborghini Estoque Gets Put on Hold

Than you for waiting, your Lamborghini sedan is important to us

Lamborghini will not be building a four-door exotic – at least not any time soon. Maurizio Reggiani, the head of R&D for the Italian exotic car manufacturer told U.K. publication AutoCar that the Estoque project would be shelved.

The controversial sedan was unveiled by Lamborghini at least year’s Paris Auto Show and was scheduled to be an all-wheel drive four-seater along the lines of the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide. Planning was still in the early stages, however, and so pulling the plug on the Estoque isn’t going to cost Lamborghini much.

When the exotic sedan did break cover in Paris there was no word on a powerplant, although Lamborghini did suggest that the engine could be anything from the LP560′s V10, to a turbocharged V8, to even a diesel or hybird powertrain.

This was seen as a progressive move by Lamborghini, by finally showing some interest in alternatives to the internal combustion engine. (We should note, however, that Lambo’s switch to direct injection in the LP560 made for a huge increase in fuel-economy).

With a world economic crisis and wait times for the standard Lambo models getting shorter and shorter, Reggiani commented that now was simply not the right time to launch such an ambitious project. Yup, the recession strikes down another vehicle, although we’re not so sure its a bad thing in this case.
