Considering their prevalence today, it’s easy to forget that just five years ago we saw our first set of LED headlights on a production vehicle. Even back then car makers were putting LEDs on concept cars to dazzle show-goers and catch the eyes of the media. But today, LED (light-emitting diode) lights are no longer isolated to just one-off concepts or premium luxury vehicles.
Oh Ashton Kutcher, what are we going to do with you. The new Charlie Sheen replacement on Two and a Half Men seems to be going down a Sheen-like path himself, apparently trying to win Demi Moore’s heart back with a… 2012 Lexus LS 600h L, paying just a tad over $100,000 to get the luxury hybrid sedan.
Kutcher may really be popular with all the girls out there, but it looks like he needs to take some notes from other adulterers like Kobe Bryant. Look, your significant other isn’t going to be content with a $100,000 Lexus hybrid sedan as a make-up gift, especially when it’s pretty obvious that she could get one herself. Go put a little thought into it, get herself a ring the size of your ego, and maybe you’ll stand a chance. Oh well, the divorce is already well on its way and well, we think no one really feels bad for either party involved. At least Kutcher’s trying to make love “green”.

Nearly 5 months in to the calendar year, Lexus has admitted that it will not be able to sustain its lead in the luxury car sales race, due to tight supplies of vehicles and parts from Japan.
With dealers down to a 30 day supply of cars (compared to a usual 60 or 90 day supply), the situation is so drastic that regional marketing campaigns are being ended due to a dearth of new vehicles to sell. Lexus is offering to extend the leases of current customer’s vehicles, and is discouraging dealers from attempting to inflate prices of the limited supply of cars, with Lexus general manager Mark Templin stating “…that’s not the way we do business.”
Many vehicles, such as the newly introduced CT200h hybrid are nearly sold out, while the Japanese factories that build the majority of Lexus vehicles are not expected to reach full capacity until November.

Hot on the heels of their Tokyo Auto Salon showing, Wald International has released a Black Bison Edition styling package for one of Japan’s top luxury sedans, the LS series from Lexus. To show off their new kit, Wald chose to use an LS600h as their demo vehicle, but promises that the Black Bison Edition is compatible with the LS460 and even the LS long wheelbase model.
Similar to all their other Black Bison Edition vehicles, the Lexus LS600h sports a full body kit which includes a new front bumper, blacked out grille, new fenders, side skirts, roof and trunk spoiler, and rear bumper equipped with a new diffuser. Playing tribute to Lexus’ IS-F is a stacked quad-tipped exhaust system with a design similar to the factory IS-F’s unit.
Wald chose to outfit their Lexus LS600h with a set of their own Mahor wheels, which are available in a variety of widths in a 22-inch and 24-inch variety. No pricing has been announced for the Black Bison Edition Lexus LS package.
