The special edition CL500 comes standard in an AMG Sports Package with a more aggressive front fascia, rocker panel extensions, a rear bumper cover and larger wheels in either five- or 10-spoke designs.
The commemorative package is available in Europe on the V8 CL500, CL500 4MATIC all-wheel-drive models (shown above) and the V12 CL600.
Customers may choose from special leather upholstery in one of three color schemes: armagnac, deep black and porcelain, though the regular CL trim may be integrated as well.
Those interested in buying a Grand Edition CL should expect to pay 4,850 Euros before tax (roughly $6,402) plus an extra 1,500 Euros for the car with paint as in our pictures, roughly totaling an additional $8,400 above the base price CL.

It’s sometimes hard to believe how quickly time flies. In Mercedes‘ case that certainly rings true for it’s large coupe models. Back in 1952, M-B launched the six-cylinder 300 S, which paved the way for a range of increasingly powerful and more luxurious SE, SEC and ultimately CL coupe derivatives of its S-class sedan.
Recognizing that 60 years have now passed since the debut of the 300 S, Stuttgart has released a special edition CL Grand Edition. Setting this one apart, are the inclusion of designo paint, standard AMG Sports Package (more aggressive front fascia, rocker panel extensions and rear bumper cover, plus 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels with a choice of five or 10-spoke designs), along with unique Grand Edition appliqués.
Inside, exclusive touches include special designo aniline leather upholstery, offered in three finishes, armagnac, deep black and porcelain (complementing the available exterior hues of platinum black metallic, mocha black metallic and matte magno cashmere white), which can be combined with any of the regular CL’s trim finishes including black ash and burr walnut.
In Europe, the Grand Edition package is available on the V8 CL500 and CL500 4MATIC all-wheel-drive models plus the v12 engined CL600. Cost, in addition to the base car is 4,850 Euros plus value added tax ($6,402), though the matte finished magno exterior paint (shown above), adds another 1500 Euros ($1,980) to the tally.
