While North Americans (and perhaps international automotive enthusiasts) were enjoying SEMA, Anderson Germany unleashed their own showstopper, the Race Edition Audi R8 V10. Not only does Anderson Germany’s Audi R8 V10 truly look like a race-inspired beast, but the collection of carbon fiber goods found on it are astonishing and perfectly fitting for Audi’s supercar.

There’s no denying how aggressive and exotic the R8 looks from the factory, but just the addition of Anderson Germany’s front carbon fiber apron transforms the exterior to something menacing and beautiful. In addition to the front apron, the rear spoiler, rear diffuser and mirror housings are replaced with carbon fiber counterparts.

Equally stunning are the staggered 19×8.5- and 19×11-inch one-piece wheels sporting a carbon coating with an orange pinstripe. Matching the new race-inspired look is a new power output of 577-hp, a significant increase over the factory’s 518-hp. This is achieved thanks to a reprogrammed ECU, high-flow air filter and lightweight exhaust system. Anderson Germany claims that their exhaust is 37-lbs less than the factory unit.

Audi R8

The largest tuner of Audi and Volkswagen models in Europe, ABT Sportsline has yet to really break into the U.S. market. They do, however, seem to have a plan in place, with Florida-based GGI signed on as a distributor, helping them make a big splash at SEMA by grabbing eyeballs with their new R8 GT-R in a stunning matte-white.

We were first to bring you shots of the R8 GT-R when it made its world premiere back at the Geneva Auto Show and now ABT has brought this incredible performance machine to America, debuting with a great deal of pomp and circumstance to a private audience in Las Vegas.

ABT Sportsline, has taken the 5.2-liter R8 to a whole new level, pushing horsepower from the factory 525-hp to an astonishing 620-hp. The car sports a top speed of 202 mph with a 0-62 mph acceleration in a mere 3.2 seconds. It’s not all about horsepower and engine performance however. ABT tosses in their Sports suspension package with fully adjustable dampers specifically developed for the R8 GT R. They have also modified the ceramic brake system with new brake pads to enhance braking performance. All four corners have been outfitted with new ABT CR wheels and at the rear is a lightweight exhaust featuring ABT’s Titanium special coating. But the biggest change is the actual body of the car. While aggressive, it uses ABT’s knowledge as a DTM Championship team and is entirely made of carbon fiber. All this combines to a curb weight that is 220 lbs less than the factory model.

Essentially a race car for the street, ABT is building just 25 of these monsters for a select few affluent customers.

Created to celebrate 30 years of Quattro, the Q5 Custom Concept also serves to bring attention to Audi‘s expanded line of Audi Genuine Accessories – which now includes everything from new wheels to illuminated floor mats.

Originally unveiled at the Volkswagen GTI Wörthersee Tour in Austria, that tuner-friendly group is as close as you come in Europe to a SEMA crowd and so the decision to bring the matte-black Q5 to this side of the Atlantic makes a lot of sense.

Other than the stand-out black paint and colorful 21-inch wheels, the Q5 might not seem all that extreme, but walk a little closer and its proportions hit you. The luxury crossover has been lowered by 2.36-inches for a more coupe-like profile, while the body has been widened significantly with a track that’s actually 3.54-inches wider.

But that’s not all. Rather than a 2.0T engine under the hood, there’s Audi’s new supercharged 3.0-liter V6, which has been further modified, bumping horsepower from 333-hp to 408-hp. The result is a 0-62 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

For Audi‘s first ever appearance at SEMA they couldn’t have picked a more impressive car. Knowing full-well that this is an aftermarket show, they decided to avoid over-the-top aero kits in favor of some serious performance courtesy Stasis Engineering.

The boys at Stasis certainly had their work cut out for them, however, when tasked to build an even more potent version of the V10-powered R8 Spyder. But they did just that, strapping a supercharger to the 5.2-liter engine and upping the drop-top’s output to 710-hp – an increase of 185-hp.

Stasis isn’t just about big horsepower numbers however and so true to their mandate, the Stasis team reworked all performance areas of the car, adding lighter 20-inch forged wheels and even manufacturing a new exhaust system that weighs 30-lbs less than the stock unit. As for those wheels, they’re part of the Stasis Signature Series line and weigh 27 percent less than the factory rollers.

Other performance aspects that Stasis has improved upon include braking with lightweight 2-piece 390-mm rotors up front and 355 rotors in the rear, while stiffer springs and new anti-rolls bars lower the ride height and improve handling, while retaining the factory smooth ride quality.

What might be the most important aspect, especially for owners of high-priced German exotics, is that Stasis covers its parts with a 4-year/50,000 mile warranty.

A few days ago we revealed that Stasis engineering would debut its 710-hp R8 Spyder in the Audi booth at SEMA and now Stasis has released full details on three more vehicles that will appear at their own booth.

Stasis will be bringing several of their Signature Series-tuned vehicles, showing off to the world just how great customized Audis can look and perform. An S5 Cabriolet will feature performance modifications that help it put out 410-hp instead of the factory 333-hp. These upgrades also enhance torque by 26 ft-lbs and SEMA visitors will be able to admire the six-piston Alcon calipers up close and personal. For the SUV lovers out there, Stasis’ Audi Q5 puts out 310-hp with upgrades to its handling and braking capabilities. Lastly, the popular S4 sedan has close to 80-hp more than the factory to go along with its suspension and brake upgrades.

Stasis Engineering products are all sold at Audi dealerships nationwide, offering up to a 25-percent increase in performance for various Audi models. This is in addition to their suspension, brake and driveline enhancing products. Is the Audi TT-RS’s 360-hp and 174 mph top speed not enough for you? German powerhouse tuner MTM decided it clearly wasn’t enough for them and their customers. The result is a 472-hp turbocharged 5-cylinder bullet that’s already hit 194 mph out at Italy’s Nardo test track.

And just to show their tuning prowess and the potency of any turbo setup, MTM has fine-tuned the inline-five turbocharged power plant with an ECU retune, MTM’s turbocharger and a new exhaust system to hit the 472-hp number. The engine mods chime in at close to $20,200. If you want to back up the go with some show, MTM also offers new brakes, suspension, wheels and tires for around $13,900.

The wheels are a bimoto 20-inch setup wrapped with Dunlop Sport Maxx tires (at least it is on their demo car that hit 194 mph), while the brakes are a massive 15-inch setup with 8-piston calipers in the front.

MTM TT RS: With 472 bhp faster than 310 km/h

How much engine performance do you need to break 300 km/h? The ones who think that this needs more than 500 bhp will learn that this is not correct. The TTRS with 472 bhp by MTM from Wettstetten / Ingolstadt was GPS measured to be 312 km/h at test runs on the Nardo highspeed track in Italy at the beginning of September 2010. For many other tuners a hard nut to crack despite of increased efficiency.

“It’s not decisive what we measure on the dynamometer but how many bhp you get on the road” says Roland Mayer, owner and Head of the technical Department of MTM. The right master plan has a bigger effect on driving dynamics, acceleration times and maximum speed than the search for a maximum in performance values.

In the case of the MTM TTRS this means: modification of the control unit, MTM turbo charger and a complete new MTM exhaust system from turbo.

The result: 472 bhp (347 kW) with 7.000 rpm/min, a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h – driven in Nardo with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres on 20-inch bimoto wheels.

The MTM TTRS with 472 bhp doesn’t has to fear the competition of other tuners, who are still fighting with 300 km/h and can’t reduce 0-100 km/h time under 4.0 seconds despite a plus of 30 bhp.

MTM is one of the leading and at the same time the fastest of all Audi refiners worldwide. Within the last years engineers from Wettstetten showed best values:

MTM RS6 R with a top speed of 344,2 km/h is the fastest station wagon in the world. A MTM customer drove this record in Nardo in 2009. Moreover the fastest Bentley GPS measured 331 km/h in 2008 is from Roland Mayers workshop.

The TT Bimoto with two engines set as well a new record by driving 393,6 km/h in Papenburg in 2007. Today the Bimoto is still holding the track record for street-legal cars in Nardo driven by Florian Gruber. Nardo test drives under extreme conditions are an important part of MTM development work. Outside temperature was temporary at 35 degrees.

The costs for the upgrade from 380 to 472 bhp are about 14.500 € incl. tax and installation. The price for 20-inch bimoto forged rims, 15-inch brakes with eight-piston calipers (front axle) is 9.973 € incl. tax and installation.

Right now MTM is working on an over 500 bhp version.

PPI Automotive has taken the Audi R8 V10 and overhauled it into the limited edition Razor GTR-10. With modifications from bumper to bumper, including performance, suspension and aesthetics, it’s a complete package for those that find the standard V10 model too mundane.

Horsepower has increased from 525-hp to 601-hp, plus there’s 417 ft-lbs of torque on tap, a slight increase from the factory 391 ft-lbs. Possibly more impressive is that the car sheds over 550 lbs from its body, making the performance increase that much more noticeable. The 0-62 mph time is now a scant 3.2 seconds.

The weight loss is attributed to a ton of carbon fiber components, with all new doors, roof pillars, side skirts and front bumper. Additional cooling comes from modified side skirts, rear fenders and a rear bumper. The last bits of carbon fiber replacement parts include an adjustable rear spoiler and rear diffuser. The engine bay also features a carbon fiber cover while the trunk sports carbon fiber ram-charged air inlets.

Shedding even more pounds are replacement lightweight MAG11 forged aluminum PPI wheels. Up front are a pair of 19×9-inch sized wheels wrapped with 245/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires while the rear features 20×12-inch wheels with 325/25/20 matching tires. Flashy orange-metallic brake calipers highlight the brake upgrades.

Suspension modifications lower the vehicle thanks to KW Automotive springs, while a hydraulic lift system has also been installed to raise the front 1.75-inch if needed.

Inside there are even more carbon fiber goodies from e-brake to interior trim while the seats have been reupholstered with Onyx Nubuck leather with colored accents that are customizable. PPI also installs their proprietary steering wheel to the limited edition vehicle.

Audi‘s S5 has becoming one of our favorites. There’s classy yet bold exterior styling and a potent powerplant under the hood that makes it a thrill to drive. Unfortunately, however, our S5 is packed with a 4.2L V8 while our overseas friends get the more tunable 3.0L V6 supercharged powerplant we have in the S4. So Sportec is marketing this ‘Stage One’ tuning package to Audi S5 owners in Europe, we’re willing to bet our S4s could benefit from it as well.

Sportec’s tuning package offering consists of an air filter (that is oh-so-free-flowing) and an ECU remap. Naturally the forced inducted motor gets quite the boost from a retune and peak power jumps from 328-hp to 425-hp, close to a 100-hp gain. The torque increase isn’t as substantial, but still very respectable going from 325 ft-lbs to 379 ft-lbs. We’re guessing this simple pair of modifications makes our S4 (and their S5) an absolute blast to drive.

The Stage One tuning kit is available for a tad over $3,000 – not too steep of a price for 100 extra ponies. We do wanna say one thing, we’re digging the styling on Sportec’s demo S5 seen in the photos. It subdues the S5′s styling from aggressive to sleek and conservative. What can we say, we prefer our 400-hp beasts to look classy.

APS of Brackley, UK importer for the Swiss Sportec range of exclusive vehicle enhancements, has announced a new performance upgrade for the 2009 onward models of the Audi S5 quattro coupé and cabriolet using the 3.0-litre supercharged, V6, TFSI powerplant.

Labelled the ‘Stage One’ upgrade, Sportec’s S5 performance enhancement package consists of a free flowing air filter element and a carefully developed ECU remap. In combination this has a dramatic effect on the power characteristics of the supercharged 2995cc Audi engine, with peak power increasing from 328 bhp at 6000 rpm to 425 bhp at 6640 rpm, a significant gain of 97 bhp.

Similarly, Sportec’s Stage One upgrade delivers a prodigious increase in torque output on the Audi S5, producing a maximum of 520 Nm (379 lb.ft) at 4250 rpm, compared to peak figure of 440 Nm (325 lb.ft) from the factory.

Careful development by Sportec’s technicians ensures that over 80% of the maximum torque output is available from 2750 to 6250 rpm, which both perfectly suits the characteristics of the car’s 7-speed S-Tronic transmission and highlights the user-friendliness of the conversion.

The additional power and torque output realised by the Sportec Stage One upgraded Audi S5 considerably enhances the in-gear and fast cruising performance of the car, in keeping with its luxury GT credentials. However, when exercised to the full, it reduces the 0-62 mph (100 kmh) by 0.5 seconds to 4.6 seconds, while top speed is limited at 155 mph for safety reasons.

Suitable for coupéand cabriolet models of the 3.0-litre TFSI supercharged Audi S5, the Sportec Stage One upgrade is available now from APS Sportec priced at £1950.00 fitted including VAT.

We love finding examples of nicely tuned cars from all over the world and sharing them with you. Here’s an Audi TT we stumbled upon that was built by Craft, a custom car shop out in Japan, featuring a fine collection of German-built products. The result is a very aggressive looking Audi sporting a full Rieger Tuning body kit, which really brings it to life. But Rieger isn’t the only star on the TT, with Pogea Racing’s vented fenders adding a little bit of spice to the front end. For a hood option, Craft chose TID Styling’s vented fiberglass hood that was painted to match. In the rear is a subtle carbon fiber spoiler also from TID Styling.

There is also a fine collection of wheels that the TT rides on, with our favorites being the BBS LMs that Craft laid carbon fiber over on the center mesh design. It accents the bright blue Brembo calipers nicely, while giving the car a true European style to it. Also it looks like Craft fabricated their own titanium (style?) quad exhaust for the TT with massive 100mm twin tips on each side.

In case you can’t tell, all you have to do is take an exotic (or luxury) car, wrap it in matte black and the internet will immediately go nuts about it. There’s just something so sinister and so menacing when you go and take a car like the Audi R8 and rewrap the entire car in a matte black finish, pair it up with matte black wheels and sprinkle in some carbon fiber body pieces.

As much as we like to think one day we’ll get sick and tired of this matte black craze, we wholeheartedly believe it’s here to stay and is part of the style and culture in car customization. And honestly, there’s just no denying what a nice matte-colored wrap does to a car’s aesthetics. But enough about the flat black style, this R8 from SR Auto Group has been dubbed Project Pur R8 Phantom and sports some subtle, yet sleek mods.

Breaking up the dark exterior is a set of bright red brake calipers that contrasts the matte black 20-inch wheels. Carbon fiber goods are in the form of front lip and rear spoiler, both from Hofele. PPI contributes with their carbon fiber rear vents and front grill.

As for performance, SR Auto Group is offering H&R lowering springs (pretty run-of-the-mill) and ECU tuning. No horsepower figures on the ECU retune though.

ABT Sportsline has been tinkering around with Audi‘s newest TT-RS for a while now, debuting a power package back in September 2009 that helped put down 420-hp from the roadster. An 80-hp increase from the factory 340-hp, most would think that would be enough to keep everyone happy. But ABT Sportsline wouldn’t be ABT Sportsline if they didn’t find a way to break the 500-hp mark.

The Power S Package is now available to the public and includes an ECU retune, upgraded intercooler and upgraded ABT turbocharger. Details are a little scarce on what size turbo ABT is using, but they did disclose that 501-hp is the mark that they’ve achieved with the package. No pricing has been revealed either, but we’re guessing if you want it bad enough, you’ll get it anyways.
