With the launch of the Cyber Gray show car at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, Chevy also confirmed that it will roll out a new special edition “Synergy” model each year. Called the Synergy Series, the limited edition models are the result of the success of the Synergy Green Camaro which debuted at last year’s SEMA Show.

For 2011 the Synergy Series model won’t be available in just one color, but a choice of four: Cyber Gray, Victory Red, Summit White and Black. Chevy will also offer the car in 2SS trim, 2LT V6 trim with the RS package.

On display at the world’s largest aftermarket expo in Las Vegas, the Cyber Gray show car hints at what equipment the production model will get with a Chevy Accessory grille and ground effects package and 21-inch wheels. Interior upgrades include custom gray seats with red stitching throughout the cabin, special floor mats and Silver Ice trim kit, as well as a red instrument cluster. Plus, there’s a lowered suspension, a red engine cover, Hurst shifter and red Brembo brake calipers (SS only).

Chevy is expected to announce the official 2011 Synergy Series soon, possibly as early as the LA Auto Show in just a few weeks time.

CHEVROLET CAMARO SYNERGY SERIES 2011

Chevrolet announced today that it will release a special-edition Camaro each year, called the Synergy Series, emphasizing new approaches to accessory parts and customization. At SEMA 2010, the Synergy Series 2011 show car debuts to showcase the car that will be offered to consumers in the first half of 2011 as a special-edition model.

The first Camaro Synergy model was the 2010 Synergy Green special-edition car. It proved so popular with consumers that Chevrolet is now making Synergy an annual series. The Camaro Synergy Series 2011 model contains a mix of exterior and interior accessories – including combinations not available on any other production model, including an exclusive gray interior with red accent stitching throughout. It is based on Camaro Chroma, a show car first exhibited at SEMA in 2009.

The Camaro Synergy Series 2011 model will begin production in the first quarter, in limited quantities.

“The Synergy Series reflects the strong response consumers have consistently had toward Camaro,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. “At the same time it provides an example of how Chevrolet is renewing its commitment to expanding accessory offerings.”

While the original Synergy was offered only in a single color (Synergy Green) and with the six-cylinder engine, the 2011 edition will be offered in four colors – Cyber Gray, Victory Red, Summit White and Black – as well as 2SS (V-8) and 2LT (V-6) trims with the RS package.

The Camaro Synergy SEMA Show vehicle is based on a 2SS model and displays production and concept styling cues. The accompanying highlights chart identifies them.

One of several Camaros on display at the Chevy booth at SEMA, the Red Flash Camaro Show car is “the opposite of a sleeper.” Taking the already impressive lines of the fifth-gen Camaro to a new level, the best part about the Red Flash Camaro is that almost all of the accessories attached to the car can be ordered from the Chevrolet Accessory parts catalog.

Available parts include the aggressive aero kit as well as the large rear spoiler. Items like the Heritage hood stripes are already available, while those stunning 21-inch wheels can also be ordered. Chevy hasn’t yet said if the Red Jewel paint will be offered, but we have to think it will.

Inside, the Camaro gets Chevy Accessory pedals and floor mats, while custom touches include red LED lighting and special seats with red stitching. Also inside is a new flat-bottom steering wheel that Chevy says is a “prototype” for a future product. It’s also hard to miss the Hurst shifter.

Under the hood, the big 6.2L V8 gets a Chevy Accessory air intake and exhaust system, as well as a painted engine cover.

We can’t wait to see Camaros like this rolling the streets and await confirmation from Chevy on the Red Jewel paint.

2011 CHEVROLET CAMARO RED FLASH SHOW CAR

The design of the all-new Chevrolet Camaro has been acclaimed by critics and celebrated by sports car buyers. With that appeal as a springboard, Chevrolet designers created the Red Flash Camaro SS Show Car to extend Camaro’s look – and even its sound – to a new level.

Red Flash combines Chevrolet Accessory parts available today with some specially designed new concepts from the design studio, resulting in a unique new Camaro statement. Its Red Jewel exterior color is accented with gray heritage stripes and gray-accented 21-inch wheels. Under the hood, a Chevrolet Accessory air intake kit and, out back, the accessory exhaust kit, enhance the car’s performance, style and sound.

“The Camaro Red Flash is the opposite of a ‘sleeper’ on the street,” said Adam Barry, lead designer. “From every angle, it looks and sounds like the high-performance sports car it is. It’s a model for the enthusiast who doesn’t want to hide his performance aspirations.”

It also wears Chevrolet Accessory body-color ground effects, high-wing rear spoiler with black-painted stanchions and other gray accents. A lowered suspension lends a more aggressive stance.

Inside, the Red Jewel features an Ebony leather-trimmed cabin with titanium stitching and red accents on the seats. There’s also a custom steering wheel, racing-style pedals and red LED lighting for the door trim.

One of the major complaints about the latest-generation Chevy Camaro is regarding the interior. Exterior styling is spot-on, and there’s no arguing the powerplant is potent, but the cockpit is most certainly lacking in terms of material quality and design. Bulgarian tuner, Vilner, has gotten their hands on the first Chevy Camaro in Bulgaria and decided to build their vision of a perfect Camaro.

It’s hardly perfect, but it’s nice to see someone has addressed the Camaro’s interior issue(s). Vilner specializes in designing vehicle interiors, and their Camaro features a reupholstered cockpit using Nubuck, aged Nappa and chrome accents.

Their choice of color accents involves brown and black with top-notch attention to detail and craftsmanship. They also did a few performance and aesthetic changes, with an 8-piston brake kit and LEDs for the headlights. The stock wheels have been accented with Camaro and Vilner scripting.

If only the SEMA Show had more cars like this.

Atanas Vilner is the owner of a Bulgarian company for vehicle interior and as such he definitely has affinity to cars. He fell in love with the new Chevrolet Camaro the very moment he saw it as a prototype. Three years later, he managed to become one of the first Europeans with the fifth generation of the legendary American coupe. And surely – the first Bulgarian.

At the end of 2009, the aspired Camaro is already a fact for our happy fellow countryman. The dream-come-true for Nasko Vilner arrived in Bulgaria with Silver Ice metallic varnish, V6 engine and manual gear-box. Its power is 312 hp, and the acceleration of the US muscle car is 6,1 sec from 0 to 100 km/h. Sufficient to provide intriguing moments on the road. During some of which the back wheels mark long and smelly lines of rubber on the road…

Since the owner of the grey Camaro is engaged in interior design of vehicles, interference in the interior of the sport coupe is inevitable. Moreover, almost all modern US vehicles are rather simple and too plastic in terms of furniture.

Thus, the brand new Camaro got its even more brand new interior. The front panel, steering-wheel, seats, ceiling – everything is touched by the designer and with a new image. The humdrum black interior is replaced with a stylish combination in grey and brown. Nubuck, aged nappa and chrome cover almost all surfaces in the coupe. In order to turn it into a festival of style and exclusivity. And also into a courtesy of the original from the middle of last century.

The seats are reupholstered in two colors. The seams cut through their surface in the same way as the seats of the first Camaro from the 60ies are made. Chevrolet’s designers have designed a retro hitch in the mileage-meter and cyclometer, which in the Vilner’s version are illuminated in electric blue, accentuated with chrome and covered in aged nappa. Surmounted with large seams in light grey. Just as the leather elements with scorched edges, filigreed on the chromed door handle. This detail is so precisely designed that it creates the illusion that the leather emerges out of the chromed surface.

Brown is the accent on the transmission tunnel, manual brake, awnings and even fragments of the ceiling. Yet, probably the most interesting modification in this Camaro’s interior is the totally new steering-wheel. It gained additional elements, which provide better grasp and the design is more futuristic. The manually sewn leather and nubuck give this steering-wheel the air that only tailor-made vehicles have. Unlike them, however, this vehicle is with totally new noise-isolation, which completely changes the acoustics in the coupe. Since the music (the system is Boston Acoustics) is adjusted for the old levels of noise, it appears to be inappropriate for the new interior. And since it is not cool to have a great car with bad music, some adjustment plays would decide the problem. In order to turn the Camaro into a concert hall on 4 wheels.

The modifications of the US vehicle are not limited to the interior alone. Nasko Vilner’s car got 8-piston brake kits and the halogens gave way to the impressive LED lights. If you take a close look of the wheel rims, you will see impressive Camaro and Vilner inscriptions. Definitely an interesting trick, which is not too pressing. This effect is also noticed in the American Camaro internet forum, where the Bulgarian project won the applauses and admirations of many US fans of the model. To such an extent that one of them said „ … this interior is a complement to the stylish car design. Very good job…”

This is Vilner’s Camaro. The great American car parts with its minor flaws and turns into the perfect vehicle. Unique, exclusive and very stylish. A real dream. And what are dreams really, except a breath of fresh air for the soul…

Oh my lord. There are many things on the Internet that can leave one speechless, but this thing might just top them all.

This 1994 Chevy Camaro sports 143,204 miles on the body but sports a transplanted LT-1 motor with only 36,000 miles or so. But the outside is the real reason for our disgust. The current eBay auction (yes, this bad boy is up for sale) states that it was built to “resemble million dollar exotic supercars, without the costs, maintenance, repairs, insurance, etc.” Oh and that it’ll “peal and smoke the tires from a stand still.”

And as offensive as the bodywork is, the builder even utilized 4-inch wheel spacers to accommodate the widebody conversion.

We’re sure it took a lot of effort and the bodywork really does resemble a Lamborghini, but if you’re any sort of car enthusiast and part of you isn’t disgusted by the idea of the creation, we have to question your passion for all things automobile.

While his wife may be out promoting Land Rover, David Beckham is doing a little unsolicited promotion for Chevrolet, thanks to his recently completed custom Camaro. While we can’t unequivocally confirm that this Camaro belongs to the soccer star, allow us to put two and two together, matching two threads from Camaro5 and Luxury4Play.

The latter documents the build of the sinister muscle car with matte-gray paint, H&R Springs, Corsa exhaust, some huge Agetro wheels, a wild aero kit and a very long list of detail work.

As we’re sure Beckham has a long list of other rides to cruise around in, we wonder if the folks at Platinum will be showing off this creation at the upcoming SEMA Show.

As we get closer to closer to SEMA, the buzz around all the show cars making their debut has really grown. We’re expecting GM to make another huge splash with their Chevrolet Camaro out on the show floor. Having already previewed aLL STaR Performance’s Chevrolet Camaro, we’re now introduced to Raging Bull Marketing’s widebody monster, rendered by none other than Jon Sibal (who’s done a few renderings for us here at AutoGuide).

There’s no doubt in our minds that this Camaro looks pretty wicked, but pardon our skepticism in believing the finished product will look as clean and refined as the rendering. Not that Raging Bull Marketing doesn’t have the expertise or experience to build out the car – in fact they’ve done several top notch show cars in the past – we just don’t want to get our hopes too high and will be really interested in how the build team will pull off the widebody.

Along with the widebody, the car will sport a more aggressive kit from bumper to bumper and a two-tone paint job. A vented hood and rear spoiler accent the front and rear respectively while three-piece wheels, a big brake kit and suspension round off the modifications. We’ll safely assume that the interior will get a ton of custom treatment too.

Hurst Performance is well established for their limited edition muscle cars and their newest entry to their collection is this turbocharged Chevrolet Camaro V6. Perhaps it’s a sign of the times when even domestic vehicles are going the turbocharger route for forced induction rather than a supercharger, but it is worth noting that Hurst’s Chevy Camaro won’t be powered by your traditional turbocharger setup.

Teaming up with tire manufacturer BFGoodrich, Hurst has opted for STS’ rear-mounted turbocharger setup that has been popular among the Corvette crowd. And interestingly enough they’re starting with a V6 rather than the SS V8. But bragging rights goes to Hurst by throwing down 50% more horsepower and torque than the factory 304-hp from the 3.6L V6. All the while saving 30% more gas than the larger 6.2L V8 from the SS Camaro.

The exterior of the car receives a subtle rear deck spoiler from Hurst’s AIR-SPEED line and 18-inch Hurst T1 alloy wheels for the classic yet muscle-car inspired look. Painted graphics are the finishing touch to the classy exterior.

Handling suspension duties are Hurst / Detroit Speed coilovers while the 18-inch wheels are (obviously) wrapped with BFGoodrich’s Radial T/A Spec Redline Edition rubber. The interior receives quite the overhaul as well with Katzkin leather from Hurst with embroidered Hurst logos and contrasting stitching. Each vehicle receives a numbered plaque with Hurst announcing that only 50 of these beauties will be made each year in Irvine, CA.

The company, long known for its highly collectible limited edition muscle cars, announced this new vehicle as part of a partnership with performance tire manufacturer BFGoodrich^® Tires, highlighting its BFGoodrich Radial T/A^® Spec Redline Edition tire in honor of the 40^th anniversary of the Radial T/A line of tires.

The new Redline Series Hurst Camaro begins as an ordinary RS V6 from Chevrolet and is modified at the company’s Irvine headquarters transforming into a modern muscle car that performs as well as it looks.

For the exterior, the Redline Series Hurst Camaro wears a unique combination of painted graphics and aerodynamic enhancements. Design-house Gurnade has just teased us with another of its 2010 SEMA projects. This time it’s a Chevrolet Camaro built by Gene Marcel on behalf of aLL STaR Performance. This won’t be Gene’s first stab at building a SEMA project, having done successful ones in the past including a Volvo S40 that we saw ourselves in the Status Racing booth back in 2006 and a Honda Fit recently in 2009.

His 2011 Chevrolet Camaro will truly have an all star cast of products starting with a supercharger from Lysholm under the hood. The exterior will receive plenty of toys from Extreme Dimensions, Air Lift Suspension, Forgestar Wheels and Falken Tires. On the inside it looks like Gene will be gearing up with Status Racing again, STACK, Autometer and custom interior from Trent’s Trick Upholstery. On the outside the Camaro will be painted with a custom blend from Dupont.

There are plenty of things to get excited about with this build, starting off with the rendering done by the Gurnade Design Firm. Gurnade was in charge of taking a list of ideas from paper and working their magic to transform it into what you see in the rendering.

Given that it’s now spanned almost a full decade, the Fast & Furious franchise can likely be labeled as a success, at least from a commercial standpoint. Last year’s film, the fourth installment, dubbed Fast & Furious, (new model, original parts), saw a bit of a return to the original script and original cast, but with more emphasis on proper cars.

If modified vintage muscle is your thing, then watching this latest F&F film brought about a veritable feast of automotive eye candy. Among them was the F-bomb Camaro, that takes center stage in the final act. Well, not one to shy away from the spotlight, the F-Bomb is hitting the limelight once again, this time because it’s up for sale. The 1973 Chevy Camaro, looks street tough with it’s skinny front tires, side exit exhaust and matte green paint with contrasting stripes, grille and bumpers. However being a movie car, all is not what it appears. In place of a reportedly 1,500 horsepower twin turbo V8 is an evergreen 350 Chevy small block, coupled to an automatic transmission. Nevertheless, it is a genuine Hollywood film vehicle, not a replica. Currently up for sale by Volo Auto Cars, part of the Volo Museum in the Illinois town of the same name, the asking price is $39,998. While that may seem a lot for a garden variety Camaro, even a second gen, consider this: While you could build your own replica for less, this is the real deal. And imagine how cool you’d look when your friends come over on a Saturday and see this thing in the garage. While we’re on the subject of Fast & Furious specials, apparently one of the Buick Grand Nationals used in the movie was also up for sale recently, but no word on the Chevelle or the bad guy’s Torino.

Hurst Performance Vehicles used the 2009 SEMA Show to expand its product lineup significantly with the introduction of Performance Series versions of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. Both cars appeared in predominantly white livery with black and gold detailing.

The Hurst Performance Series Camaro features a Magnusson Supercharger, Hurst Competition/Plus shifter with a Hard-Drive shift handle and AirSpeed spoiler. The kit also includes an Eibach suspension, Magnaflow exhaust system, Hurst black-chrome forged wheels with BF Goodrich KDW tires and a unique Katzkin leather interior. Output from the Camaro’s V8 engine has been raised to 600-hp! Just 50 Performance Edition Camaros will be built.

As for the Performance Series Mustang, it will come with a Roush supercharger, Willwood brakes, Eibach coilovers and sway bars, a Magnaflow exhaust, a new front lip spoiler, 20-inch wheels and BF Goodrich KDW tires. Of course, there will also be a Hurst Competition/Plus manual shifter with a gold anodized Hard-Drive shift handle. A Katzkin leather interior is also a part of the package. Power from the supercharged 4.6-liter V8 is rated at around 435-hp.

The first ever Camaro to be built by Hurst Performance Vehicles has been sold for a sum of $61,900  at an eBay auction. The car makes 445-hp and is outfitted with a complete modification package including Hurst wheels, an Eibach suspension, a Magnaflow exhaust, as well as a selection of Hurst aerodynamic modifications and, of course, a Hurst shifter.

The winning bidder won’t be able to drive the car just yet, however, as it is first scheduled to appear at the SEMA Show next week. As the highest bidder, however, the new owner will be flown down to see his new car in Las Vegas at the SEMA Show, where he can drool all over it – as well as all over every other wild car there.

The proceeds are to benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund, a program that fosters industry leadership by supporting the education of students pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket.

This very special HURST/Camaro is serial #3 and is the first HURST/Camaro to be offered to the public. This 445 Horsepower beauty is finished in Hurst’s best bad-boy colors; brilliant black with honest-to-goodness real painted silver and red stripes. Hurst hardware could pass for art; especially the massive 20″ polished forged aluminum HURST T-2 wheels, a Hurst Billet/Plus short-throw shifter with a special red anodized HARD-DRIVE® billet pistol-grip shift handle, a Hurst AIR-SPEED® rear deck spoiler. The Eibach suspension and Magnaflow stainless performance exhaust system deliver more attitude and performance to match the looks of this stellar performance machine. The interior has a personalized HURST/Camaro dash plaque and logo embroidered floor mats. SEMA EXPERIENCE FOR TWO INCLUDES:

A special pre-production Hurst-modified Camaro will be put to auction ahead of the car’s official unveiling at the 2009 SEMA Show. Proceeds from the car’s sale will benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Hurst is also expected to announce a new performance series of Camaros (a first for Hurst) at the SEMA Show.

General Motors donated the one-off car to support the fund which helps students pursue a future in the automotive aftermarket industry.

The Brilliant Black Camaro with silver and red striping is equipped with 20-inch polished forged aluminum wheels, a rear deck spoiler, Eibach suspension, a Magnaflow exhaust system and Hurst Competition Plus short-throw shifter with a red anodized Hard-Drive Billet pistol grip handle. Other touches include metal exterior badges, a Hurst/Camaro dash plaque and logos embroidered floor mats. And to guarantee the car’s uniqueness, the Hurst executive team has signed the trunk lid.
