Vorsteiner has done an amazing job executing tuning packages on some of Germany’s finest automobiles, and it may have been a long time coming, but they’ve finally gotten their hands dirty on one of Italy’s offerings. The subject of Vorsteiner’s first Italian project is Ferrari‘s 599 GTB Fiorano, the front-engine V12-powered exotic. Drawing inspiration from other 599 variants, Vorsteiner has named their exotic 599 VX, blending the best of both worlds, from the 599 GTO and 599XX.

The 599 VX will come with an eight-piece styling package, replacing the factory front bumper, hood, side skirts, rear deck lid, rear intake panel, and rear bumper (with diffuser). And as always with Vorsteiner’s products, the styling package is constructed out of high quality, lightweight carbon fiber and will be paired with a set of Vorsteiner’s T-6160 aluminum wheels. Finishing off the project is a sporty new stainless steel exhaust, guaranteed to give the 599 a whole new tone.

A countdown on their website shows that the official unveil is slightly five days away, but we have these photos to keep us interested until then.

Not to be mistaken by the sunglass manufacturer, Oakley, Oakley Design is a British Tuning company that normally specializes in Porsche. But given their highly successful Porsche packages, Oakley Design has decided to broaden their conversions and touching on Italy’s most famous stallion. Putting their hands on the all new Ferrari 458 Italia, Oakley Design has conjured one beautiful, limited piece of machinery.

For those wanting the complete package, Oakley Design will only be releasing five numbered production cars, with the modifications available separately for those with deep enough wallets. Starting with the aesthetics, Oakley Design did thorough testing to prove their front spoiler adds 45 kg (100 lbs) of downforce to the front end at speeds of 150 mph. The rear spoiler with a Gurney flap adds 25 kg (55 lbs) of downforce in the rear on the same test, at the same speed. Cooling and overall airflow has been fine tuned with a central radiator vent, side sills and new diffusers in the rear and underbody.

To enhance the look further, Oakley Design throws in carbon fiber on the roof, mirror covers and engine cover insert below the rear window glass.

While we’re absolutely digging the clean and race-inspired design of the exterior, Oakley Design’s carbon fiber air intake box along with a titanium exhaust with triple tips and a remapped ECU increases horsepower from 562 to 618. Torque jumps from 400 ft-lbs to 420 ft-lbs.

To bring it altogether, Oakley Design tossed on a set of 20-inch OZ Racing wheels wrapped with Pirelli’s Trofeo tires. They will also offer the option of 19-inch wheels for those looking for something smaller. But hey, bigger is always better right?

Overall we’re digging that Oakley Design used a nice white 458 Italia to show off its mods, but we’re a little on the fence with the side vents by the headlights. Perhaps if they were match-painted white. Who are we kidding, we’ll take an Oakley Design 458 Italia without any complaints.

It seems like only yesterday that Ferrari unveiled the Enzo as the pinnacle of all that an automobile could stand for and achieve. It was thought untouchable, both in terms of competition and modification. Oh how times have changed.

Dedicated Porsche tuner Gemballa has decided to try its hand at the ultra-exclusive world of Ferrari tuning, and we have the first images of what is known as the MIG-UI Enzo. The car was built for brothers Mustafa and Illyas Galadari of The Illyas and Mustafa Galadari Group – Gemballa’s Middle East distributor. The Gemballa Enzo is named after the brothers, with Mustafa’s name coming first because he donated his personal Enzo to the project.

We have to say the Star Wars-inspired body is definitely extreme (just how they like it in Dubai). Inside the cockpit gets a luxurious overhaul, a significant upgrade from the Enzo’s basic factory equipment. The car is scheudeld to be officially unverield at a private event in Dubai and hopefully then we’ll have some info on what (if any) modifications were made to the 6.0-liter V12 engine. Normally we’d say such a powerplant is untouchable, but there is the lone example of of the Edo Competition/ZR Auto Enzo, which is powered by an 840-hp FXX motor.

We recently reported that his uber-richness, James Glickenhaus, had confirmed that he and several partners were going to build P4/5 Competizione race car to enter in endurance racing events.

The P4/5 name comes from the P4/5 vehicle that was custom built for Glickenhaus by Ferrari design house Pininfarina, based on an Enzo and inspired by the Ferrari P 3/4 race car.

Initially it was reported that this race car would be built on a Ferrari 612 chassis and then the obvious connection was made with an Enzo underpinning the race car. Glickenhaus has, however, confirmed that the race car will be based Ferrari chassis, but use a V8 – leading us to speculate that a 458 Italia would be a nice place to start.

The plan is to enter the car at the Nürburging 24 hour race next year, in a class that allows one-off vehicles. This would not be a homolgated race car, however, and wouldn’t be able to run in other series, whether FIA GT3 or the American Le Mans Series.

James Glickenhaus, the man behind the coachbuilt Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5, has confirmed that he will build a race version of the car to compete in endurance racing.

The P4/5, which debuted at the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, is a one-off rebodied Ferrari Enzo, built by the Pininfarina design house to look like the famous 1967 Ferrari P4 race car. It is reported to have cost Glickenhaus $4 million.

The P4/5 Competizione would be a race-ready sibling to that car and will likely cost even more.

Several months back when Glickenhaus first proposed the idea he admitted it was a long shot, saying that, “There are a LOT of stars that would have to align for this to happen but it’s not impossible.”

Glickenhaus recently posted on FerrariChat under his screen name of Napoli that, “Things are starting to come together. It will take time but there is excitement and real interest. Thanks to my Partners in this adventure! This will be some trip and it has begun. P 4/5 took on a life of her own. May P 4/5 Competizione follow her example.”

It is expected that the Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5 would be entered at an upcoming Nürburgring 24 hour race.

Now it appears as though Glickenhaus is planning a sibling for his custom creation. Posting under the the screen name Napoli on FerrariChat, the prolific poster writes “There may be an act 2 here. I am seriously investigating a proposal to make P4/5 Competizione and enter her in a major 24 hour race. There are a LOT of stars that would have to align for this to happen but it’s not impossible…”

If the project does go ahead, the Nürburgring 24 hour race is the most likely venue at which the car would race.

As expected, Ferrari-tuner Novitec Rosso has released a power-package for the drop-top F430 Scuderia Spider 16M. Thanks to two superchargers the Scuderia’s already impressive engine now puts out 696hp at 8400 rpm and 503 ft-lbs of torque at 6300 rpm. That is an increase of 186hp and 156 ft-lbs of torque.

Novitec claims a 0-62 mph time of just 3.5 seconds with 124mph (200km/h) coming in just 9.7 seconds. Those autobahn-loving Germans at Novitec even give a 300 km/h (186 mph) time of 23.8 seconds. Top speed has been increased from 196 mph to 205 mph.

Due to the Scuderia’s stunning exterior, Novitec decided to leave the body of the Ferrari well-enough alone. However, those looking for a new set of wheels are certain to love the larger 20×8.5-inch front and 20×12-inch rear NF3 rollers, that allow for 235/30/20 and 325/25/20 Pirelli rubber. A height-adjustable suspension is available, which can raise of lower the front axle by 40 mm (1.6-inches) – perfect for making sure you don’t leave any paint behind while exiting the parking garage.
