Debuting along side the production GS350 F-Sport today at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas is a wildly modified version of the very same car, built by long-time Lexus tuning partner Five Axis. Painted Glacier White it’s in stark contrast to the subtle silver-gray of the factory F-Sport model on display. The real drama, however, comes from a custom widebody, with Slate Gray accents, huge Five:AD S5:F alloy wheels and some truly massive exhaust pipes.

Certainly over-the-top, it’s yet another example of the artistic minds at Five Axis. Perhaps it’s time Lexus hired some SoCal styling talent to add some passion to its lineup?

With plenty of dressed-up tuner cars on display at the Lexus booth at this year’s SEMA Show, the real star is the GS350 F-Sport. It might not have any power adders, but with 306-hp and a 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds it doesn’t really need any anyway.

More than just bolt-on styling components (although it has those too), the G-Sport version gets a more engaging Adaptive Variable Suspension system and new bushings while rear drive models boast a Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) system. As for those add-ons, the F-Sport gains 19-inch wheels, measuring 8-inches up front and 9-inches in the rear, plus larger brakes with high-friction pads.

Styling is spiced-up with new front and rear bumpers, a rear lip spoiler, F-Sport badging and an F-Sport grille. Lexus will offer the car in three standard colors (Starfire Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl and Obsidian) as well as two exclusive shades: Riviera Red and Liquid Platinum. Inside the F-Sport gets a special aluminum trim, perforated black leather (Cabernet Red leather optional), aluminum pedals and a more highly bolstered 16-way power driver’s seat.

As promised Lexus will debut its new F-Sport GS350 model at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Taking the all-new 2013 GS sedan, the F-Sport package adds, um, sport, by bolting a long list of “racing-inspired” components.

Included in the package are 19-inch F-sport wheels measuring 8-inches up front and 9-inches in the rear (AWD models will be 19×8 front and rear). Also added are thicker sway bars, new bushings, and a more aggressively tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension system. Other upgrades include larger brakes with high-friction pads and rear-drive models will get a Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) system.

Helping convey the car’s added capability is an F-Sport aero kit with new front and rear bumpers as well as a new rear lip spoiler, F-sport badging and an F-Sport grille up front. Available in Starfire Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl and Obsidian, Lexus will also offer the F-Sport model in two exclusive colors, Riviera Red and Liquid Platinum.

Inside the car gets a unique aluminum trim and perforated black leather with aluminum pedals, plus a 16-way power sport driver’s set with improved lateral support and power side bolsters. An optional Cabernet Red leather will also be available.

No changes have been made under the hood, with the 3.5-liter V6 continuing to generate 306-hp for a 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds.

“The all-new GS 350 with F SPORT package will offer our customers more agility and a sportier appearance,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The racing-inspired F SPORT components were precision engineered for this vehicle, providing quality performance without compromise.”

Hot on the heels of their Tokyo Auto Salon showing, Wald International has released a Black Bison Edition styling package for one of Japan’s top luxury sedans, the LS series from Lexus. To show off their new kit, Wald chose to use an LS600h as their demo vehicle, but promises that the Black Bison Edition is compatible with the LS460 and even the LS long wheelbase model.

Similar to all their other Black Bison Edition vehicles, the Lexus LS600h sports a full body kit which includes a new front bumper, blacked out grille, new fenders, side skirts, roof and trunk spoiler, and rear bumper equipped with a new diffuser. Playing tribute to Lexus’ IS-F is a stacked quad-tipped exhaust system with a design similar to the factory IS-F’s unit.

Wald chose to outfit their Lexus LS600h with a set of their own Mahor wheels, which are available in a variety of widths in a 22-inch and 24-inch variety. No pricing has been announced for the Black Bison Edition Lexus LS package.

Lexus is a brand desperate to grow its appeal among younger buyers and while the new CT200h hybrid hatchback might be more of a European-targeted vehicle, apart from the IS series, it’s easily the most attractive car to the Gen-X and Gen-Y crowd from the Toyota luxury brand here in North America.

To help convey that message and to draw attention to the fact that Lexus does offer something to suit the interests, lifestyle and budget of younger buyers, the Lexus commissioned tuner and design studio Five Axis to build what is being called the Five Axis Project CT. Unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show the car gets a custom widebody with an aggressive rear end complete with a massive diffuser. The ‘Dark Passage’ paint helps convey the car’s ‘Darker Side of Green’ marketing slogan, while under the hood the factory powerplant remains untouched, delivering 42-mpg average.

Inside there’s everything from custom seat inserts to an impressive looking touch-screen interface that looks perfectly suited to the CT and could easily be passed off as factory equipment.

Lexus will use the upcoming Chicago Auto Show to keep the focus on its new CT200h hybrid luxury hatchback.

To do so Lexus will have on display a new concept version of the car build by tuning-house and design studio Five Axis. A single teaser sketch of the car has been released, with the CT sporting some custom aero work, a Tein suspension, 19-inch wheels, Stoptech brakes and a custom touch-screen interface.

Five Axis has a long-standing relationship with Lexus and Toyota, having build numerous SEMA vehicle for them over the years.

Targeted at younger buyers, Lexus has already shown an F-Sport styling and handling package for the CT and company execs have admitted they are looking at delivering a more potent version of the car. Could this wild concept preview such a model? We can only hope.

In addition, Lexus will show off two of this year’s SEMA vehicles, the VIP Auto Salon LS600hL and the Paul Tolson, EST Styling RX450h.

Invader L60 07.jpg

You know the saying, “as American as apple pie”? Well, in Qatar they say, “as Qatar-ian(?) as a modified SUV.” OK, maybe not, but wealthy Middle-Easterners really know how to blow their oil-soaked money: like on the Invader L60.

Japanese tuning house Invader recently unveiled its new L60 truck at the Qatar Motor Show, based on the massive Lexus LX570. Along with an excessive widebody kit and some massive front-end opening, the truck also gets some obligatory gold wheels (optional) and an aggressive rear diffuser with four exhaust pipes.

A completely custom interior is also a part of the package, and who can forget the supercharged mated to the big V8 engine to help pump out 600-hp.

Invader is planning to bring the L60 to the Geneva Auto Show in March, so we’ll be sure to snap plenty of live pics then.

While Lexus does already offer a selection of F-Sport branded TRD bits for the IS-F, the automaker now seems poised to deliver a selection of track-focused goodies for those who want to take their 5.0-liter V8 sedan around the track.

Looking nearly identical to the IS-F Club Circuit Sport concept from last yea’s Tokyo Auto Salon, the new TRD model sports some subtle front lip add-ons as well as a rear diffuser. A vented carbon fiber hood is also part of the package, as is a simply massive rear spoiler. And let’s not forget the light weight forged wheels.

Here’s hoping that Lexus does decide to bring these parts to market for customers in North America.

If the SEMA Show stands for anything, it’s that the aftermarket industry is as much about style as it is about performance. That being said, Lexus has decided to showcase its lineup of hybrid models at the world’s largest aftermarket expo next week.

Several tuners will will take part, including Fox Marketing, EST Styling and VIP Auto Salon, with tuner cars including the HS250h, LS600hL and an RX450h that will get such a wild transformation it will look like some of the modified BMX X6 M cars we’ve seen lately.

Also of note is a GS450h built by 0-60 Magazine outfitted to look like a genuine touring car, with Volk wheels, Tein suspension a massive spoiler and aggressive aero kit.

And let’s not forget the most attractive Lexus to the tuner-set, the new CT200h. Lexus will test the market at SEMA with a CT200h F-Sport Concept, featuring bigger wheels, wider tires, an upgraded braking kit and an F-Sport suspensions.

Oh, and because Lexus also loves horsepower, they’ll also have on hand a Pearl Gray version of its LFA supercar.

AutoGuide’s coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show starts Tuesday, November 2nd. Until then, check out our SEMA Preview here.
