10. Honda Odyssey

I want a Lotus 2-Eleven, a Ferrari 599XX, an Evora GTE and I’ve always wanted a Range Rover too. Sadly, even the garage in my dream world has rules and picking just 10 cars to fill it is as hard as choosing my favorite child. As a result, each of my Top 10 dream cars serves a special purpose, and none are quite so purposeful as a Honda Odyssey.

On a list you’d expect to find Lambos and Bugattis, mine starts with a minivan. Still, it’s the Bugatti of minivans, and with a $44,000 price tag the Touring Elite model is definitely more first class than coach.

And before you doubt my sanity, understand, I have kids.

It’s got more toys than any other and features that plenty of luxury cars would be jealous of. You say your $300,000 luxury limo has self-closing doors, a fridge and a TV in the back? So does the Odyssey. And you can watch two movies at the same time!

I thought about filling this spot with a Range Rover, but really, if you’ve got two little ones in booster seats like I do, the only thing that makes parenting easier than sliding doors is having grandparents to watch your kids.

Porsche had a treat for all of us attending the LA Auto Show this year leading up to the unveiling of the new Panamera GTS. A video was shown on the big screen boasting four of Porsche’s talented drivers, all taking a seat in the new Panamera GTS and having one hell of a ride out on a track. Greeting us on the show floor were drivers Patrick Long and Romain Dumas to pull the cover up off the new GTS.

Now Porsche has the video to share with the rest of the general public, showcasing all of the GTS’s strengths. Four passenger seating, ridiculous power, control and well, amazingly good looks. If you can’t tell by now, we’re huge fans of the new Panamera GTS… if only it came with a manual.

Check out the video after the break.

Porsche took the wraps off their Panamera GTS sedan Wednesday at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, billing it as “The Purest Panamera Yet”. The Panamera GTS offers a 30 horsepower increase over the standard Panamera 4 and Panamera 4S, and comes with standard all-wheel drive and a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox – no manual transmission will be available.

Upgraded brakes, a 10mm lowered ride height and Porsche Active Suspension Management are all standard, as are 5mm wheel spacers to give the car a wider track. Bespoke interior fittings distinguish the Panamera GTS from plebian versions. A revised intake and exhaust will give the driver more seductive V8 engine sounds, and a standard Sport Chrono pack and Launch Control allow for a rawer driving experience.

The exterior is given minor aesthetic tweaks, as well as an adjustable spoiler borrowed from the Panamera Turbo, but only the Porsche faithful will be able to spot the real differences. GTS motifs, both inside and out, complete the whole package. Pricing has not been announced.
