Red Bull livery. It’s not just for Honda CBRs any more. Not since Infiniti teamed up with the energy drink company’s F1 team last year and Sebastian Vettel won the World Championship for the second year running.

To celebrate the event, Infiniti is giving just 10 customers in the UK the opportunity for a behind the scenes look at the Red Bull Racing UK factory. And all they have to do is buy an Infiniti FX.

Those lucky few will be able to have their FX outfitted in a Red Bull Racing inspired wrap at no extra cost. Infiniti will also be offering the custom wrap to other FX drivers, although exact pricing has not been released.

You can be part of the Red Bull Racing Formula One Team’s pit crew when you play Infiniti’s first ever social game on Facebook.

Infiniti and Red Bull Racing have teamed up for this new Facebook application called the Infiniti Pit Crew Challenge. Inspired by the competitive fuel that helps drive the Red Bull Racing Formula One Team, this interactive game pits you in a race against the clock to complete a pit stop. You’ll be tested to see if your reflexes and accuracy measure up as you work furiously to get your car back onto the track.

To play the game, all you have to do is like the Infiniti Pit Crew Challenge on Facebook. You’ll then be able to challenge friends and compete against other Infiniti Facebook fans across the world. Who knows – you could be one of the lucky ones to nab one of the top 24 spots on the Global Leaderboard.

Free Runners from around the world converged in Detroit last weekend to compete in the MINI-sponsored Red Bull Art of Motion competition. This international free-running competition has been held in cities around the world, and the event in Detroit was the only US stop, as well as the final one, for the 2011 series.

This hot sport is currently a YouTube favorite. Basically, a Free Runner’s goal is to complete a course in an urban setting that’s filled with obstacles of all kinds with as much creativity, style and skill as possible. It’s cool to watch these athletes defy gravity as they leap gorges between buildings and obstacles in awe-inspiring and gasp-inducing feats of lightness. MINI got in on the action, and the all-new MINI Coupe was part of the obstacle course at Russell Industrial Center, while a MINI Clubman was one of many obstacles at Detroit’s Hart Plaza during the final round. Free Runners flipped, vaulted and rolled their way over these cars during their routines in this competition.

Probably best well known for his role in the Mission: Impossible movies, Tom Cruise is a versatile actor, going from action packed scenes to showing us the money in Jerry Maguire not to mention pretty much every role in between. And even though his act of hopping up and down Oprah’s couch may have been a little questionable, there’s no questioning Mr. Cruise’s DNA for thrilling action.

Cruise took a break from filming his newest Mission: Impossible flick to take on some real world thrills with Red Bull. He headed out to Southern California’s Willow Springs raceway, and after chatting it up with F1 star David Coulthard, got behind the wheel of his F1 race car to see what he’s made of. And the results are pretty impressive, with Cruise hitting 181-mph on the 2.5-mile track, just 4-mph shy of the 13-time Grand Prix winner, Coulthard – who was also his instructor.

And if that wasn’t thrilling enough for Cruise, he decided to do some stunt flying in Red Bull’s helicopter, further proof that he’s a thrill seeker on and off the Hollywood camera.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has recently tested the Red Bull Formula One race car at the Willow Springs racetrack in California. Tom Cruise completed 24 laps with the Red Bull team, and guiding the top gun along the track was race car driver David Coulthard.

Coulthard took Cruise around the track in a passenger car, then set him off on his own. Tom Cruise set his own lap in the F1 car reaching a top speed of 185 mph, and cut his best time by 11 seconds. Amazingly, Cruise recorded a top speed just 4 mph off Coulthard’s best.

“Tom’s the real deal,” Coulthard told RedBull.com. “I was surprised that he picked it up so quickly and is such an accomplished driver. His recall was incredible considering how complicated driving an F1 car is. He’s a guy who really pushes the envelope in real life. This day was not green screened. He thoroughly impressed me.”

David Coulthard and his Red Bull F1 team traveled down to Austin, Texas to check out the soon to be completed Circuit of the Americas track.

Over the weekend, David Coulthard took his 750-hp Red Bull Formula One race car on a cruise in and around the Texas capital, engaged in some hooning and put on a show for the crowd.

In this clip, Coulthard takes the high performance F1 car on the dirt roads of the soon to be grand prix track, as well as along some highways. It’s not every day you get to see one of these cars go off-roading, or tear through city steets.

Legendary NASCAR driver and off-road pilot Robby Gordon has been invited to attend the Bullrun Live Rally commonly know as, “The Bullrun”. One of the most glamorous (perhaps second only to the Gumball) of high-end luxury automotive rallies, it’s limited to 100 entries consisting of the finest high-end cars in the world taking on an epic eight day rally race across the US. In the past, the Bullrun has attracted celebrities such as Dennis Rodman, Hayden Christensen, Bam Margera and Kim Kardashian.

Robby Gordon is partnering with Jeep and will drive the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 from Las Vegas to Miami.

“I’m really excited to be participating in the 2011 Bullrun. It’s basically a modern day ‘Cannonball Run’ just set up like the Dakar Rally. It’s run on public highways within speed limits, but the guy that gets there first still wins.  It’s very fitting for SPEED Energy and I’m able to do it with our great partners, Dodge, Jeep and Toyo Tires,” explained Gordon.

Formula 1 has decided to implement the 1.6-liter V6 for the 2014 race year. Teams have been grumbling over the 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder plants but are more eager to compromise with the V6.

The difference in size between the two engines may seem very small, but the idea is to get all of the current teams to agree on a standard so the series doesn’t lose any of its relatively few participants. A Kinetic Energy Recovery System hybrid has also been part of the new proposal. With the 1.6-liter V6 already approved, the next step is for the World Motor Sport Council to vote.

Stupidity knows no bounds. Need an example? Try running out in front of a moving Formula 1 race car… you know, those highest of high-tech race machines capable of hitting 60 mph in under two seconds and speed of well over 200 mph.

That’s exactly what one crazed fan did at a recent Red Bull exhibition in Japan. The F1 car was being driven by Sebastien Buemi and lucky for the sprinting idiot with a vertical leap much lower than he had hoped, Buemi wasn’t going very quickly.

From the video it’s obvious that he managed to walk away from the incident although we’re pretty sure the authorities will be having more than just a few words with him.

Even though the FIA has given the go-ahead to add Bahrain to the 2011 schedule, some aren’t so sure it’s a good idea to race in the troubled country—like Mark Webber, driver for the Red Bull F1 team.

Webber was “disappointed” in the decision. “My opinion is unchanged since I was first asked about this in late February,” he wrote on his personal website and his Twitter feed. “Even though a decision has been made, I’ll be highly surprised if the Bahrain Grand Prix goes ahead this year. When people in a country are being hurt, the issues are bigger than sport.”

The unrest in Bahrain captured the attention of the world back in March, with protests against the government as part of the “Arab Spring.” The 2011 race in Bahrain is scheduled for October 30th, but the country is still in a state of turmoil, as Webber mentions.

“As a competitor I do not feel at all comfortable going there to compete in an event when, despite reassurances to the contrary, it seems inevitable that it will cause more tension for the people of that country,” he said. “I don’t understand why my sport wishes to place itself in a position to be a catalyst for that.”

Sebastian Vettel, the reigning Formula One world champion and currently in first place on the F1 leaderboard, has been appointed brand ambassador in the hopes of boosting the Infiniti brand.

Vettel has been provided with several Infiniti products including a personal car, according to the manufacturer.

“Since our first contact with Infiniti I liked their cars. A car can impress you in two ways: its looks and its handling. After I had the chance to test some cars in the range I became a big fan,” said Vettel.

“They are comfortable as well as sporty when you ask for it. I am sure we as a team and myself can benefit a lot from the experience of Infiniti and I am very much looking forward to our partnership in the future.”

Since the beginning of the 2011 F1 season, the Infiniti logo has appeared on the successful Red Bull Racing team’s clothing, their equipment, and the race car as well, helping gain valuable exposure.

The tie-up between Red Bull Racing and Japanese luxury brand Infiniti may extend from the race track to the street.

According to a new reports, Infiniti is studying a new performance model that would be built with the Red Bull Racing team. Rather than an all-new vehicle, this would likely be based on a current model, much like the Renault Clio Williams.

“Our relationship with Red Bull is only five races old, but the trajectory for it is to move on and work more closely together. One way of doing that is on a road car project,” said Infiniti motorsports boss Simon Sproule.

The most likely candidate for a high-performance version would be the G37. The Red Bull car would likely go on sale in the next 18 to 24 months, at about the same time Infiniti will most likely be looking to renew its contract with RBR.
