With only 80 Ferrari 599 SA Apertas roaming around the world, it’s one of the rarest and most unique Ferraris around. Despite its limited production, Ferrari tuner Novitec Rosso has announced a new tuning program for the SA Aperta that helps improve the exotic’s performance by 215-hp and 178 lb-ft of torque, giving it a total of 876-hp and 636 lb-ft of torque.

All the power comes courtesy of a twin-supercharger system by Novitec, helping make the 6.0L V12 a whole new monster. 0-62 mph is now an exhilarating 3.1 seconds while its top speed is now over 211-mph. In addition to the supercharger, Novitec outfits the SA Aperta with a stainless steel exhaust with black powdercoated tips. For wheels, Novitec recommends a pair of 21×10-inchers in the front while the rear gets a massive 22×12-inch setup. Novitec also has a set of sport springs that lowers the SA Aperta by almost 1-inch.

Some may say it looks a little like a Corvette Convertible, regardless, there’s no denying the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta is classically beautiful. With just 80 models being built, the SA Aperta is ultra-exclusive (they made five times as many Enzos) and celebrates 80 years of Pininfarina design. The name itself honors the design house – in particular Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina.

Incredibly despite the chop-top roof, Ferrari claims the weight gain is “negligible,” retaining the 599 coupe’s incredible driving dynamics and chassis rigidity. But there’s more than just a drop-top to this Ferrari, with a windscreen that’s been chopped, a lowered suspension and the rollbars that seem to flow out of the design of the seats.

Power comes from the same engine found in the 599 GTO, with 670-hp on tap from Ferrari’s incredible 6.0-liter V12 engine.

Put your bib on and prepare to drool through the Gallery below.

To celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, Ferrari has released its most exclusive vehicle ever – the SA Aperta. The name itself is in honor of Sergio and Andrea Pinfarina and just 80 of the vehicles will be built – all of which have already been sold. For the record, that’s just a fifth of the production of the notoriously rare Enzo.

Power comes from the same engine found in the 599 GTO, with 670-hp on tap from Ferrari’s incredible 6.0-liter V12 engine. In addition, Ferrari claims their engineers managed to remove the roof of the car, while retaining the structural rigidity and adding only a “negligible” amount of additional weight.

The body itself features a lower windscreen than the 599 and has a lowered suspension, while the two rollbars mimic the design of the seats and flow backwards into two aerodynamically designed bulges.

Ferrari will officially debut the SA Aperta at the Paris Auto Show, so be sure to check back for AutoGuide’s complete coverage starting September 30th.
