General Motors has announced that it will be having a car giveaway sweepstakes through its OnStar division. From March 15 until May 31, if you have access to an OnStar equipped vehicle (that’s right, you don’t even need to be a subscriber), you can enter the contest, simply by pushing the OnStar button.

Once the sweepstakes has ended, GM will then select 10 winners, who will each be awarded a brand new Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick or GMC car or truck of their choosing.

The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) has teamed up with Tjin Edition to design a one-of-a-kind 2011 Ford Fiesta that will debut at SEMA 2010. Best of all, the Ford Fiesta will be built as a giveaway in a sweepstakes that opens up on November 2nd, 2010, the first day of SEMA.

Not many details have been revealed about the project, but given Tjin Edition’s past history we’re anticipating that it’ll be a killer car. Prior to be given away, it’ll tour numerous UTI campuses and other automotive events, showing off what can be done with a little creativity and experience.

Several partners are already on board with the project giving us a good idea of what the car will look like. Peeking underneath the car cover in the render is clearly a site of wheels from FIVE:AD with Air Lift Suspension ensuring the car has the profile it needs no matter the situation. Baer brakes will be peeking between the spokes while Yokohama tires will be wrapping the wheels. Exterior goodies will be coming from DuPont paint, 3dCarbon and StreetGlow while interior will receive goods from Trent’s Trick Upholstery, Autometer, Status Racing, Image Dynamics and Scosche. Performance looks to be contributed by MagnaFlow, SPEC and Nitrous Express.

In the recent past, Ford has teamed up with country music star Toby Keith for special truck promotions and is now doing it again. The 2011 Super Duty has been generating quite a bit of buzz since it’s introduction and now, Ford, in conjunction with Toby will be giving one of the trucks away as part of their American Ride Sweepstakes.

The contest is open to residents of the lower 48th and the District of Columbia who are at least 21 years of age at the time of the competition. Besides the truck, the winner will also receive as part of the prize; a full weekend on the road with Toby including transportation to and from the airport, exclusive use of their very own tour bus, plus all meals and exclusive back stage access.

The prize is in conjunction with Keith’s latest American Ride tour, supported by fellow country star Trace Adkins, that began in Holmdel, New Jersey on June 19th. The tour will take in concerts in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. and other cities across the US.
